Boomerjinks posted:Is there any video of Capys bruxing? Surely they must make bruxing sounds at times They make sounds by chattering and grinding their teeth but I'm not sure if it's the same thing. I did a search on Youtube and I found one video where the person thinks a capybara they were scratching was bruxing, but the audio didn't pick it up. Dick Trauma posted:Does the sleeping one just teleport around like that? I think he was stationary and the other capys just ate the food around him.

Animal Odd Couples, an hour-long documentary I recently saw about cross-species animal friendships / adoptions. Here's a clip from a case of a dog adopting a baby deer (the deer was fed formula, but would still suckle at the dog). When the deer grew up it joined the other deer in the area, but would still return to play with the dog. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XRs_oLMjIAA There's also a case of a dog and a cheetah being raised together and then becoming running buddies when they matured (the cheetah either didn't seem to realize that it could easily outrun the dog, or else it didn't want to show up the dog too badly), and a case of an elderly goat acting as a seeing-eye goat for an elderly blind horse.

Content: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkVy2FeqIyc Ida Maria Last.fm came through like a champion with some feel-good music the other day. It's like someone put Jack White into the body of an adorable/awkward Norweigan girl. I ended up dancing like a moron to half her songs, and really loving the more down-tempo stuff. Also, a special thanks to the person who posted John Butler some many pages ago. That song was fantastic. Cornuto has a new favorite as of 21:09 on Jul 17, 2013 |

Yeah I mean I dunno, a thread like this is inherently participatory, if you feel like there's too much of one thing-- anything, not just capybaras, that seems like a great reason to go and find things that you think are cute, adorable, and/or uplifting and also share them. So have a kitty.

I am not going to ban capybaras from this thread. However, some of you are complaining about the frequency of capybara posts. We also have PYF Cats and PYF Dogs, and I'm guessing that without those threads, some people would be complaining about too many puppies and kittens in here. BattleMaster, you are free to create a PYF Capybaras thread for the biggest enthusiasts, but you would still be free to post the best ones in this thread.
