Are they all campaigning for something else to be fixed/added as a higher priority? Cause if not, that's just mystifying.

The devs could really do with fixing some of the stuff that's been broken since launch, like the "kill 10 dudes" mission in Fusang - after eons of speculation about what conditions are required for you to get credit, when I was in there yesterday there were only 3 templars in the zone, they were all in the same group as me and I still wasn't getting credit for most of the kills. At least twice though I got credit for killing a guy who died on the other side of a wall that I hadn't even seen, let alone hit. :iiam:

Been away from the game for the few weeks, but I haven't gotten any monthly items since the horse head.
I've got the top bar, crafting and intro-movie removal addons which I've since removed and reinstalled repeatedly (and deleted from the customized/scripts folders, etc), but I still don't have the new slot for the earpiece.

There's nothing to claim in the item-shop either, am I doing something wrong?

I had the idea that it would probably be worth it to make a list of the high experience or quick quests that I've already done so I know what's wroth it to go back through if I need extra xp in a zone, but I had the idea long after I started going through Kingsmouth. Doing everything in Transylvania got me a few hundred AP in one day. I know I ended that day with 700 but I also ran some dungeons and Egypt stuff.

If your running solo, the Transylvania circuit (the signet missions and the castle) will net you a pretty chunk every three days. If you can get a couple decently geared people together then running the lair missions will be a nice chunk as well. If for some reason you like to cut yourself and cry in a corner, then you can slug through the quarry and just kill things over and over.

I'm still uncertain whether the Tokyo tutorial was a flashback to an isolated incident or a preview of things to come... :( Maybe I just haven't gotten to where it's explained but I'm nearly done with Blue Mountain so I'm not certain if it'll ever be mentioned again or if I've just moved on to other, different Filth. No spoilers if I'm inadvertently asking for some though please. I'm enjoying this tale.

My theory is that the Tokyo dream is a future we havn't seen yet, but everyone else on Earth says its a flashback. As far as if the game says anything, it is alluded to that it is a flashback by the various factions before or immediately after.

I kind of wonder if they just hosed up. There's something to be said for being intentionally obtuse but the Templar guy makes it sound like a "vision of things to come," the Illuminati doc says it's a "recording," and the Dragon think it's some weird fetish porn. Also, the tutorial says, "Blah blah chicks name (does she look familiar?)" and I have never once understood what the gently caress they're talking about. The whole tutorial feels like it was made at the start when they hadn't lined everything up. It may have been done prior or after to them having to write three sides of a story together or something. It just feels oddly out of place in terms of quality.

We are going to need more information before making any judgments. If the issue + scenarios are more than the monthly GM/subscriber points, we are going to have a problem. We don't know one way or the other yet.

That plus when you wake up after swallowing the bee during the intro, isn't the radio talking about the terrorist attack in Tokyo? It's always seemed pretty clear to me that it's already happened and I took it to be the reason so many people suddenly swallowed magic bees in their sleep - the earth is trying to defend itself.

This is how I understood it as well. I think its the end of the templar faction quest I swear there was a mention of how they are gearing up to go into tokyo, so maybe the factions knew about the tokyo threat and have to get ready to tackle it and orochi.

Hold the phone.

In issue 6, doesn't Saïd say that his reason for helping is that no one including his people are anxious to see "another Tokyo"? I think he even admits fault for Tokyo in the first place. That would seem to point to "Tokyo," as shorthand for the Tokyo disaster, as a past event.

Now, that event is clearly ongoing. Does the flashback have to be from the start of the event? Or could it still be in the future?

Semi-related issue 6 question: I vaguely recall that when you leave the past, a guy dressed like a native steals something from you. I don't remember what it was or if it was ever addressed. What was it, and are we still waiting for the other shoe to drop from it?

Ok, so I picked up the game on sale from Steam and really like it so far. I've put together a build which seems to be doing pretty well for soloing and ending fights with enough HP to last another few rounds if I pull adds, etc, but in the interest of expanding my ability and understanding I was hoping I could throw it out to you guys and see if it will still work later down the line. (build here http://thesecretsandbox.com/Deck?abilities=,561,582,542,139,137,109,105,132,136,138,551,553,110,112)

The main idea is to start each fight building up a flame strike, then using the buff from High Strung to pop the anima charge and score a cheap heavy and free crit with Hammer, then just keep chaining to flame strikes until the target drops with plenty of critical strikes along the way and a decent barrier/heal if poo poo turns south. The AoE builder is just there to mow down groups faster and still drop flame strike after getting 3 resources. And a nice stun in Cardiac to handle any major hits that I can stop

I was curious if there's going to need to be major/minor changes once I get to Transylvania or anything I could do that would help out more. This isn't the build I take in dungeons, just to clear that up

Any idea on which one I should aim for? All I've been using blood consumers for is just throwing up barriers when I bite off more than I should

I was eyeing Lefthand of darkness and swapping out anima charge or wildfire if I'm comfortable in the area without pulling adds.

Two questions:

1) I got a phone call in the middle of another mission that talked about going to meet someone, but the game wanted me to abandon my current quest I was about to finish, and after a while the window just disappeared. Is there any way to find out what that was about?

2) Is there an auto-loot button/function I just can't find anywhere?

I'm assuming it was one of your ranking missions; just go back to your faction HQ and look for a 'special assignment' mission somewhere near your contact (Geary, Sonnac, Dojang)

"V" will, by default, loot everything in a radius around you.

There's a circuit you can take in Kingsmouth that nets you a fairly decent amount of XP for minimal effort. Caveat: if you want AP quickly your best bet is just to get off Solomon Island as quickly as possible. Off the top of my head:

A Fistful of Zombies -> Bullets for Andy -> Trespassers (from the complaint form) -> Bringing Sexy Back (from RC Helicopter) + Rolls Downhill (from Che) -> Badge of Honour (from the police car) -> Flame Away (get flamethrower to give to Edgar) -> run back towards Kingsmouth Town and pick up Dirty Laundry -> go to Church -> go to Sheriff's office and hand in Badge of Honour

edit: Just did the maths, it's 212K XP for all of them, which is comparable to doing the investigation missions in Kingsmouth for the first time, so it's useful if you're stuck on Solomon Island.
