Still holding out this Unthreaded JB is real. I had my iPhone 5 stolen from my car, and had to get a new one which was on 6.1.2 and JB'd. These guys seem to know what they're doing, despite overwhelming criticism. They've actually put out working JBs. Hopefully their A5 / 6.1.4 jb is real.

Whats the easiest way to un-jailbreak? If I do a full backup through iTunes then restore will I end up with all the apps, settings, and data (apart from music) that I have now? Buy the part online and follow the iFixit guide?

Wow, their website is nearly incomprehensible. I wouldn't put much faith in anything they claim but I'd be happy if proven wrong.

Apparently they're getting somewhere, they've posted a proof of concept today. I don't know too much about it but they've posted a binary.

Got a problem with Cydia. It's not working. The icon is there and I can open it up and stuff but when I search for ANYTHING, nothing shows up. Anyone help me diagnose, please?

And the obvious question- have you tried a reboot?

My sources seem to be there yeah but nothing shows up when I open them. Reboot? How do I reboot? Or do you mean reboot the phone? If so, yeah I've done that a few times.

My launch-day iPhone5 has a problem with the sleep button only working 1% of the time. From what I can tell this is a pretty common problem. I'd like to go back to Apple for a replacement, but what should I do with my jailbreak? Will the Apple reps care? Do they backup/restore the phone for you? Do they upgrade to the latest firmware? What are some good jailbreak backup apps on Cydia? I remember using something back in 2009 and it didn't work very well. EDIT: I should read threads. Kikka posted:I'm retarded about jailbreaking, can I do it on an iPad 4 with iOS 6.1.3? No, the last supported firmware was 6.1.2. A jailbreak more than likely won't be available until after the release of iOS 7.

I just thought the whole point of jailbreaking was to get all the apps for free, besides some of the helpful tweaks and such. At least, that is what I and everyone I have done it for did it for. Also, YourTube is 3.99-5.99 depending if you get it on sale or not, just fyi. (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST)

Sorry you have enough money to buy an iphone but not enough pocket change to donate to a developer.
