How important/fun is the alien drug mission that was cut from the Australian version?

I'm a bit late to this but what's funny about this cut mission is like, the drug use is the least important thing in the mission itself. The drug use is just a wacky plot device to further Shaundi's character development. It's her pathos that's more important for the mission itself.

But hey I guess whoever decided the mission was too extreme for Australian youths completely missed that point on purpose.

It's essentially two people bonding over smoking drugs out of a light bulb, but there are no negative side effects. So it makes them seem positive, and Australia is not gonna have any of that :v:

We're all doomed
I still had 'Merica when I loaded a pre-patch save last night, although I was already equipped with it. I avoided using any weapon caches and backed up my save directory beforehand.

It looks like there were more future DLC packs found in the patch, just cosmetic/nickel and dime stuff.

Gunslinger Pack - Wild west themed clothing and weapon costumes
GATV Pack - Gat clothing (looks like Johnny and Aisha costumes), Gat hairstyle, a "knifegun"
Dubstep Gun (Remix) Pack - Metal, swing, opera, and polka tracks for the Dubstep Gun, probably with corresponding skins
Bradygames Pack - Some type of SMG, I think you get this from buying their strategy guide

Bradygames Pack is a bonus for buying the Bradygames Strategy Guide for the game.

Since these have now been spoiled, the GATV and Dubstep Remix packs are what I was saying were really cool DLCs earlier in the thread. GATV pack also has Gat's shades as a clothing option. The Dubstep Remix pack especially, everyone is going to love the classical and metal tracks. :allears:

Yeah, the game crashed on me at the penultimate part of the mission, and I was flipping the gently caress out because I thought I'd have to do the key and CID escort part again. Luckily, when I went back into the game, ready to call in a Steam buddy to co-op and dull the pain of redoing it, the game loaded right from the part of the mission where I was. I finished the rest of the game without incident.

Cluck, cluck, gibber, gibber, my old man's a mushroom, et cetera.
Anyone able to help on this?

So me and my brother played the entire game in co-op and are now finishing off the challenges in post game, when we realised we are missing a super power, for some reason we do not have the Shrink Stomp power despite completing the quests needed to receive it (The quest log shows these as complete) we unlocked the 1st and 2nd rewards but no shrink stomp.

We can't talk to the quest giver as it was from SR2 Shaundi and you can't talk to her 'computer' form on the ship once you complete all of her quests, we have no earlier save file to go back to and joining an old save pre-mission completion doesn't give the power to the person joining

Would buying the Executive Privilege DLC Pack help in any way? I saw it has a 'unlock Superpowers' cheat would that help fix it? or would it disable trophies and thus be pointless?

a. Yes the cheat would unlock everything.

b. If you are on PC you can use IdolNinja's cheat mod which makes all the cheats work without disabling autosave or cheevos. Otherwise you're hosed.

c. Spending money on the cheat DLC to fix a bug sounds kinda infuriating. Then again, the general idea of trying for 100% cheevos on new release (buggy) games also sounds pretty infuriating so I dunno. One thing you could try is have player 1 start a new game and play through up to that mission, have person 2 join to try to unlock the reward again, then do it all again vice-versa.

No Johnny B Goode, no sale. :colbert: Can't even use the excuse that it doesn't fit the radio, considering the stations are barely maintaining the facade of being actual radio anymore. Volition always kinda of skimped on that front, compared to Rockstar, and I don't just mean licensing songs or guest DJ voices, but simple formatting and scripting. It was pretty slim even in SR2.

Personally I'm fine with the radio just being a music playing radio without all the in-between cheese. Besides that, since there's no way to put in your own music yet, sometimes I just mute the game's music and play my own in the background instead.

And man, is it just me or does SRTT seem to have a lot more cutscenes? There seems to be an into and outro to every mission, whereas in SRIV you only get the kind of thing for 'plot' missions, and in the case of the 'side' missions you just get some audio from Kinzie or whatever.

I found the way they did the mission telling extremely lazy in SR4. Like when you go talk to character on the ship the only things animated are usually their lips and maybe head, and the couch textures are so low res and everything feels really phoned in. Kinda disappointing. Felt like a ps1 level of quality.

While I admit I wish they would've went with some DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, Salt n' Pepa, Digital Underground... it's still a silly, stupid old-school hip hop song and it's fun. I like running around doing stupid poo poo to fun songs.

Oh poo poo just isn't a good song. :colbert: In all seriousness it just doesn't flow well during gameplay. There's something to be said when you're flying in a helicopter during sunset and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" comes on or when you're racing through the streets to "Holding Out For a Hero" and likewise when you're gliding in the air and "The Touch" is blasting.
