I noticed that when the temporary pledges expire it goes back to "Awake" instead of "Displeased." Does this mean you can never get more red cookies after the first pledge, or does it go back to Displeased eventually? I'd much rather have red cookies than pay 666 trillion and give up 20% of my income permanently.

It's togglable (sic?), I assume so that you can turn it on when you're paying attention to golden cookies and then off when you're idling. The price still seems questionable.

So your 200th time machine would cost 123456789*1.15^199 = 1.4804x10^20 cookies. e: And yeah, having Elder Covenant active stops Blood Cookies from spawning.
