If you are running and gunning while shooting landscapes you are doing it wrong. Those rocks aren't moving. Take your time and look at your surroundings.

This is how true photographers learn to shoot landscapes. The zen of capturing the fleeting arrangement of form, an instant in the mind's eye when the composition is simultaneously perfect and marred by motion blur - a photograph that forces the viewer to consider perfection and inperfection.

The rush is on.
This picture was also taken from a car at 70 mph. Thanks, 1/4000!

I definitely started out by running and gunning. I would change settings around and take 3-4 shots of the same scene. There's nothing wrong with it, particularly if you're having trouble understanding what settings you should use to get what you want. It's certainly the mark of a beginner, but I think one has to get familiar with photography before one can really start to compose.

We should probably use them to make a mosaic of Hitler and then morph it into George W. Bush.

Sorry guys forgot the links. Went into a bit of an art coma when I saw the way the fence was arranged in the fourth shot. It was masterful. Haven't seen anything like it since that other guy who gets empty quoted all the time.

You are correct, though I am not 100% sure that you're actually guessing! Atomicthumbs, I don't think a single pair of headlights are quite as bright as you're assuming... I didn't do anything special, it's just a single 30 second exposure.
