Honestly at this point I reckon Minerva is the best character in the story. If Fairy Tail was all about her going around being a gigantic bitch to everyone regardless of the situation then not only would there be more fights but also a much lesser focus on Wendy and loving cats. Here's hoping that the giants flatten the mages of Fairy Tail so we can get this show on the road.

So this is basically child porn at this stage right? Crotch/cleavage shots of what is functionally underage kids is very disturbing. I don't even read this manga, I just check in sometimes when I want to see big attacks hitting things. But lately it's been getting more fanservice-y which is sad but OK, this is really just creepy at this point though and I think i'm done with this manga.

Mangastream have the latest chapter up. Pretty good setup chapter, though it feels a bit odd that the arc appears to be wrapping up here. It was really short and anti-climactic all told. Not much really happened in it, though I enjoyed what was there. I also like that the Demon Slayer dude actually looks like he's supposed to be a nice person going by his design, the fact he's kneeling solemly at a grave and has a small and kind of gentle smile on his face. He probably won't be, but may be Mishima will make him bad in a fundamentalist believer kind of way, rather than an over the top and evil fuckhead way. Also, don't know about anyone else, but demon slayer appears to be a step down from God slayer to me. Oh, and Minerva is getting friendzoned apparently. Can't say it's a surprise or out of character given that this is Fairy Tail, but I'm not really fond of the idea. Maybe the execution will carry it off though, who knows.

I always felt that in the world of Fairy Tail its more than possible to master as many magics as you want, but in the metaverse of Making a Manga, its important that everyone has signature attacks. Everyone one trains one skill to the extreme in the hopes of getting some screen time. And also, nobody mentions that Natsu and Lucy know a bunch of bullshit cantrips like "light a candle with your mind" since lightning candles isnt cool.

I don't get why a Demon Slayer is a vile and terrible man? Sounds like he was mistaken when he froze the village. Also loved the little twist but I odnt understand why the fire was Atlas or what the magic that brought him back was?

I'd almost think it was a mistake in understanding the wording (Contrast Demon Slayer vs. Demon Slayer, or, a Demon that is a Slayer vs. a person that is a Slayer of Demons) except Dragon Slayers have been firmly established as having the purpose of slaying dragons. But then they also use dragon powers and if Acnologia is any indication eventually they become one so maybe it's a little of both. As for the other part, if we assume that Atlas is Igneel's friend and Igneel is an enemy of Zeref, I think it becomes a bit clearer.

I think it hinges on the fact that to become a Dragon Slayer you have to become dragon-like and chill with dragons, so by analogy to become a Demon Slayer you have to become demonic and chill with demons. Of course the God Slayer stuff mucks things up a bit, but let's chalk it up to book learning ain't got poo poo on the real deal. Or something.
