So I made a new song, I think it's a big improvement over my previous stuff. Spent hours & hours on recording & tweaking it. https://soundcloud.com/mike-dole/live-in-dreams-proper

Tiny criticism in that I'd prefer the vocals to be a little louder, but that might just be me. Really nice song. The brass section at 1:50-odd is lovely. ninja edit: I wouldn't call your new one a massive improvement, 38 Steps, Are We All Right and Why Don't We... are all loving excellent. I really really like this. I'm gonna listen to some more while I get stoked.

Here's mine, I got a lot of exposure on a reddit thread so some of my songs have a ton of plays and some of them have barely any. It's indie pop/sample pop/whatever I feel like making. https://soundcloud.com/grafxofficial If anyone has any questions as to how I did anything I'll check back and answer you! EDIT: There's kind of a lot of stuff so if you're browsing I recommend Sleep, Hoofbeats, or Flail;Hail. Oiled and Ready fucked around with this message at 15:16 on Aug 6, 2013 |

I know gently caress all about production (even though I make half-arsed attempts at making stuff myself) but I'd buy albums by both the previous posters.

I have a few new ones fueled by a breakup and being laid off. https://soundcloud.com/flynnjaman/brokedown-avenue This first one is slightly underbaked for my taste, but I checked it off after a steady 7 hour session as 'really listenable'. The vocals have not been recorded. https://soundcloud.com/flynnjaman/big-fat-gently caress-finger This is fully developed to my ear but would love recommendations. So I got tired of writing songs about existential malaise and decided to do a character song (ala "Eleanor Rigby" or "David Watts") - it ended up being about a serial killer. https://soundcloud.com/mike-dole/walter-chase

Did a little theme song for a podcast and decided to do kind of a Funky Worm, west coast early 90s, g-funk type of thing. Few flubs here and there but got it to where I was satisfied. Really fun coming up with something in a style I don't usually write for. https://soundcloud.com/fro_tone/hate-the-player

Working in a theatre I got given the challenge "Why has no-one made a reggae version of any Les Mis song?". 2 Days later I put out this, very tongue in a cheek and a whole lot of fun to make. Got a friend round for guitar and hilarious vocal work. https://soundcloud.com/alex-sharkey/i-dreamed-a-dub The one thing I would change is the bass. But we're currently deep into making "One Dub More" so too busy to go back and revise :P

I should check out this thread more often, some really awesome stuff on this page! I posted my soundcloud awhile ago, but never posted my little side project I started with a friend. https://soundcloud.com/centurion-beats/contact-1 I don't know why I've been writing so much House lately - maybe because I still haven't 'cracked the code' to the neurofunk basslines I so want to create - but it's satisfying. This one sort of treads the line between progressive and electro.
