A bunch of ridiculously talented Brazilians who made everyone dream about beautiful football, a team that made us all feel disappointed at some point because of either personal behavior or lack of impact of their players when acting together as a team. But gently caress those are just some incredibly talented footballers. And Robinho.

Wowee

Really enjoying this thread thus far, good work lads.

Which team would you say benefitted most from Ronaldo?

Edit:

His World cup goals, his 5th (@ 1m20s) where he dove forward to slot in I think was the first goal I saw him score and is one of my favourite goals.

Ronaldo was so fast he could dribble past a player standing 10 yards off him, literally knock the ball past and get to it first. He was able to run full speed with a short stride so was impossible to knock down. The perfect specimen. Agile. Strong. It is a shame what happened to him.

He played on both sides of El Clasico and the Milan derby and is adored by fans of all four teams. Legend

He was definitely the player I wanted to be when I was growing up. His array of finishes was mental - from placing shots into the corner, to blootering unstoppable exocets into the roof of the net, left foot, right foot, first time or after a blistering run. Before the injuries he was definitely the best striker I've seen. Whenever I watch the compilations posted above it's like watching a hormonally supercharged teenager in a playground game against 6yr olds. Messi and CR7 might end up having better 'careers' than him, but neither of them have captured my heart in the same way as Ronaldo (and Ronaldinho).

There's no story
Before the injuries Ronaldo was scoring over a goal a game and in his first la liga season scored something ridiculous like 48 goals in all competitions when he was 18. Messi and CR7 only started matching that (and surpassing it to be fair) when they were 23/25. When they were Ronaldo's age they were scoring about 10-15 goals a season, as were Ibra, Van Persie etc. And if he hadn't had a heart attack on the morning of the final Brazil might have won three world cups in a row.

Man the thing I love about watching Ronaldo videos is just how *direct* he is with everything. His ball moves are all taking him towards goal, towards open space, and when he gets that opening its just slammed into the back of the net. What a great player.
