ColonelJohnMatrix posted:The new Steve Austin show with Jim Ross is hilarious. Lots of great stories involving "wrestlers with real heat" and tons of Danny Hodge stuff. Hearing how Hodge won a battle royal against Bill Watts and a real bear by ripping its rear end hair off causing it to freak out made me cry laughing. I loved the story of JR calling a match where his color guy was blind and one of the wrestlers poo poo himself. Is the mid-south DVD on Netflix?

Yes, hearing how the blind guy was slowly freaking out on air because he was smelling a pile of hot poo poo next to him in an enclosed area while JR had no mute button (i.e. he couldn't interupt his broadcast to tell his partner someone poo poo their pants) to tell him what was happened was loving hilarious. I really hope he writes that book. Every time Austin and JR referred to his "retirement" you could just see their eyeballs rolling in their heads.

Alvarez is the youngest-looking nearly-40-year-old I've ever seen. I bet he still gets carded. honestly I hope I stay in the same boat, right now I'm 24 and I still look 17 and I'd like to hang onto that for a while.

What happened to the Jim Ross episode of Austin's podcast? I looked for it this morning and couldn't find it - there was an episode #48 and episode #50, so I figured maybe he was #49 and it got pulled for some reason. Now #50 has been renamed #49 and no Jim Ross. Edit nevermind I just saw the notice that it's split into two shows for whatever reason, link is here.

Also a world without Vince McMahon in it would be a lot less interesting. Which is why I'm hoping the Cyber-Vince initiative he funded with diverted funds from the XFL ends up bearing fruit.

This ring of honor CEO is so stupid when it comes to modern technology that all of their iPPV issues are starting to make sense. He's literally implying that everyone having issues with ROH iPPV doesn't have fast/wide enough Internet to handle the video feed. Someone alert YouTube. "I, uh, understand different provders offer, uh, different widths of bands".
