It's rarely mentioned, but the album graphics for each episode are usually pretty great.

Last week's with JT and Britney in full denim regalia made laugh out loud.

How many run throughs of the show have you guys done? I have a friend who's on his third time around which I thought was crazy, but he's only been listening for a year and I'm sure there's OGs out there who have listened a lot more.

Hands raw with high fives.
I'm in the early 300s on my second time through right now. I also haven't listened to any new ones since I started so I have a bunch of new episodes waiting for me at the end that I am stoked to listen to.

He listened to all available episodes three times over the course of a year? That's about a 1000 hours or about 40 full days, seems rather excessive.

That is insane, in a year. I love UYD, but there are other shows in the world...

I'm a little ways into a second run-through. I started listening around 110-115, caught up with the backlog then (within a couple months), and have only kept up. Maybe a year ago, I started dumping chunks of the back catalog onto my running ipod, but it tends to be third choice behind audiobooks or new podcasts, so I'm only into the late 60s.

I showed him UYD and it's the only podcast he listens to/knows about. Doing the math it's only 3 episodes a day, which isn't much considering I listen to 2 episodes during my morning routine. Also considering he plays a lot of video games and listens to UYD when he plays games, it's nothing to really bat an eye at.

e: I'm currently unemployed out of school and to prepare for Dallas I started from episode 1, and have listened to 80 episodes reading the weck's wiki and noting parts I really like in the last two weeks :)

I love UYD more than anything but I listen to like 10-20 hours of newly released podcasts a week, let alone listening to the back catalogues of other great old podcasts, so I really can't afford to do a proper run through again. Will often just dip into a random old ep though.

Lost my poo poo in today's episode when Jonathan casually mentioned that he's friends with Nosaj Thing (who I like a lot in general but whose first album is indelibly burnt into my brain from listening to it ~25 times a day on repeat for a week or so while revising one time)

He is also pretty good friends with Daedelus. He said in one ep about there being a restaurant that "Alfred and Laura" like, and I was just like... well, he has worked with him, so he must be talking about them.

A kid who lacked parental supervision, pretty much. When I was growing up I had a friend who came over to my house for dinner almost every night because his parents were never home. My mom referred to him as a latchkey kid, and that's how I first heard the term.

This is so weird, maybe it's a cultural thing, since here in Sweden no one would have a stay at home parent and everyone would go home by themselves after school from like 8-10 years old or something.

It's easily found on Google but I get the sense he'd rather not have random internet people mail poo poo to his house with some frequency. Maybe I'm wrong though and just giving a heads up on the voicemail or his phone number would make it cool?

Forgot about how actually easy it is to find the dude's information. I'll email them first and ask if it's cool.

Also, the couple of times I called and talked with Seth, it was pretty much exactly like an episode of UYD in terms of how he acted. He even said his classic "gently caress, man!" Couldn't have made me happier. The guy's a good conversationalist! We were talking about Cocaine Cowboys, this documentary about coke in 1980s Miami. I would assume that like a lot of people, if you actually have something to talk about that you're both interested in he'll be his normal self. If when he called you were just like "uh, hey, what's up?" I could see that not going so well.

Yeah for me talking to Seth was a real delight, and he sounded just as stoked to talk to a fan as I was to talk to him.

Was pedal error ever brought up in a news story way back or something? I know it's a bit of a running joke for Seth to get angry at olds for the ultimate muscle confusion, but I can't remember where that started.

Which episode was it that Jah mentions a crazy dream he had where he was in Venice, a plane crashed in a canal right in front of him, he dove in to save the pilot but didn't have time to save himself and drowned (but he felt completely at peace or something), and then Seth imagines a statue of him, covered in bird poo poo? It's real specific but I can't find anything on the wiki or through google. I think it's before episode 100, probably around 50 or 60.

Unless I'm confusing the eps I'm catching up with w/ current ones, they bring it back up around 126 and in the wiki it says Seth mentions the guy (George Weller) briefly in episode 27
