Let's talk about close stadiums. Starting with Dundee's 2 football, teams, Dundee United (top) and Dundee (bottom):

Tannadice and Dens Park a very long time ago.

At an unspecified time in the 80s/

And today. The 2 closest stadiums in the UK.

Second closest are the homes of Notts County, the Oldest Professional Footballe League Club In The World, and Nottingham Forest, some washed-up cunts owned by a moneyspinner.

Stade Jean Bouin and Parc Des Princes, in Paris.

And of course, Anfield and Goodison Park:

Where were they planning to build a new stadium? Right in the middle of that park, of course!

I love this photo too.

Here's a few famous ones before DSLR's were invented and catching a shot like this was a miracle.

Gigi Riva scoring one of the most famous bicycles ever, against Vicenza in Caglari's only Serie A title year. Riva was for the most part a one club man, having played for his local side for one year and then moving to Cagliari for the rest of his career, resulting in their greatest ever achievements. This goal secured a 2-1 win for Cagliari, which was crucial to keep Inter from catching up to them.

This was in 1970, so there's a video too

This one is probably more recognizable, as it's on the cover of every Panini sticker album in Italy. The player is Carlo Parola, a defender for Juventus in the 40's and 50's. He later became a manager, managing Juve to three titles in the 60's and 70's. It'll be this photo that he's remembered for, though.

Peope who don't like Arsenal can take solace in the knowledge that this was taken from a bad 1-1 draw against Villa. But it was a cool goal line clearance:

It's a bit of a long shot, but would anyone happen to have or know where to find the photo that this wallpaper is based on? I know it was posted in a football photo thread in 2011 or 2012, but that's about it. I might have found some thumbnail and reverse searched it to find it as part of some Russian football news site, but never found a desktop sized version.

Besides, the image always reminds of this:
