Funny how something innocuous like posting a goofy Sonic cover can cause the thread to spin off in a different direction.

Anyway, funny panel, not a homage.

I'm pretty sure most of her and her dad's clothing is like, part of their actual bodies due to the whole shapeshifter thing, so it's especially baffling! :v:

That is a list of things that should be obvious for her to do. The whole point is that she should already know to get to the photo shoot, just like she should already know how to put on her own clothes and that she should breathe.

Ah jokes about Daredevil. The (sadly gone) Toyfare Theatre used to do a load of fantastic ones about DD.

This is one of my favourite, it comes from Toyfare #64 "The Way We Wuz"

Edit: In hindsight this is much better in context. So here you go, the whole story.

Hey, maybe something even more interesting is happening over to the left, you don't know!

Content: Time-travel shenanigans are all afoot as the time-displaced X-Men run in to a seemingly time-displaced Doctor Octopus (or maybe he's a robot or clone, the story's not done yet)

when who should show up for a team up but Spider-Man (who is Doctor Octopus, for those who aren't up to speed on recent Marvel events)

I just really like "I'm certain that's exactly what the first clone said"

Source is All-New X-Men Special.

That's because three of the writers (Matthew Senreich, Douglas Goldstien and Tom Root) worked on Toyfare and then went on to create Robot Chicken.

After binging on a handful of Thor and JitM trades, I couldn't help picking up Archie #648 when it caught my eye today. It rules.

I've never read the original, but I'm pretty sure it's just a sendup of Thor's origin story where instead of defending truth, justice, and Hostess Fruit Pies he stays on Earth because of all the choice babes. Also Jughead is Falstaff, so he's really fat, and that's funny. They have him riding a donkey.

I found these online, since I no longer own the TPB, but I'm pretty sure they're from Simpsons Comics #5. This was part of the early 1990s crossover When Bongos Collide, in which an explosion at the nuclear plant leaves everyone in Springfield (except Bart) with superhuman powers:
