On the basis of those pages alone, I like Tanktop Tiger there way more than the protagonist.

The guy being beaten up isn't the protagonist, he's the school brother of the protagonist. The protagonist is ponytails. Also for a second I saw Tanktop Tiger and wondered if you'd somehow mistaken this thread for the OnePunchMan thread.

I was under the impression that he blamed the S.U.C. (Chapter 63) for that, and it turns out to have been the doctor guy (Chapter 71). The reason he wants to fight Hyuk seems to be because he wants to see how he measures up against the guy who he's constantly held as being on a whole other level due to the events of the original The Breaker series. If I recall correctly, ShiWoon's been constantly visualizing Hyuk as his opponent during the image training that he did while waiting for his ki pills to take effect (Chapter 65).

But the doctor was working for the SUC, and the Sunwoo know that Chundomoon is working with the SUC. He may not blame Hyuk So-Chun directly, but I believe Shioon isn't quite sure if he's involved or not. I bet the next couple of chapters will reveal a lot on that end.

This isn't quite the right place to post this as I think it is a Chinese manga but this seemed like the most general manga thread currently going. Everyone who likes martial arts/war/the Chinese Warring Kingdom period should read Kingdom. It is pretty awesome, feels similar in a lot of ways to Ares if you've read it. There is a focus on Shin, a war orphan who dreams of being a great general under the heavens, and on the political situation of the kingdoms (even more specifically the young king of Shin's country).

Kingdom is Japanese and runs in Young Jump, although it is about the warring states period in Chinese history. It's basically Dynasty Warriors - Warring States Edition, the Manga; complete with generals who can cut you in half with a single halberd swing. Definitely a fun read though and the scan group releases like 3 chapters every few days.

The Breaker: New Waves 132 Nothing good ever starts with underestimating Shioon. Also note that the chapter is currently incomplete.

I want to believe that Shioon is holding back for some reason. I mean, I know that the guy he's fighting is 'The One' or something, but neither of the spectators seems to be reacting as aggressively to his power-up as the people on the island did. They're more like 'Wow, he can fight again?' vs 'Holy poo poo, WTF is that monster?!?!' Also, what's with the sudden antagonism from the black haired kid? I thought he had a man-crush on Shioon, but all of a sudden he's trying to 'put him in his place, stop him from being so arrogant just because he's a gaju'. Talk about your toe-heel turn.

I think the black haired kid is just confused by Shioon's motivations. This will obviously end with them being best buds once he realizes Shioon wanted to fight him out of his deep respect for the kid.

Watermark issues aside, MangaCow has poo poo translation. Speed doesn't mean jack poo poo when you get so much stuff wrong. Even blatantly obvious stuff. Which isn't to say that A-Team's translation is perfect; just that MangaCow's translation is much, much worse.

I think the whole put him in his place thing was that he assumed Shioon had told fedoraguy to tell him to go easy on him, hoping his position of Gaju would make Hyuk hold back.

I haven't seen it mentioned, I read it a couple weeks ago and would like to recommend Feng Shen Ji. I don't know if it's actually manhwa (I have no idea what the details of its publication are, I can't find it) but it's another absolutely gorgeous series.

Yeah you ain't seen nothing yet. It escalates about as properly as you'd expect (once you learn what the endgame is, anyway) and the art does it justice. I mean there have I guess been other series that use the story (nothing new under the sun, after all) but it's fun to read and the art is seriously gorgeous. Here's one of the panels that first wowed me (timg for huge, no real spoilers since there isn't enough context on the page to know what the gently caress)
