Also looks like it may have options for other mounts if for some reason riding an armored sabretooth tiger isn't metal enough for you. Zerofrost's armors are made from scratch, and some look pretty over-the-top badass. Hothtrooper44 makes mashups of mostly vanilla and The Witcher assets, but they look very good and some are metal as gently caress. The link takes you to his big armor compilation but you can also find individual mods for some sets. Also by the same guy is an NPC companion called Hoth, whose personality and background appeared to be purely based on the concept of

Morrowloot 4.0 is up, and even on the Nexus as well! Running it with SPERG, Immersive Creatures, Frostfall and Realistic Needs and Diseases has really revitalized the game for me. Changelog: -Added sunder, wraithguard, and the threads of the webspinner -Added higher tier nord stuff to nord ruins -Fixed the vampiric ring, and some artifact improvement -Added flames to Hopesfire! Yay!

I ended up sticking with Nwah Edition (the one with crafting, used the craft what you find option for my orc dude), and now I can't enjoy Sunder and Wraithguard.

I managed to get Skyrim to autodetect settings and with playing around with skyrimprefs.ini it launches and has no problems now with running whatever ENB I have installed. However, once I'm in game for about 10 seconds, it starts to slow down like crazy, to the point where it's a complete slideshow. When I look up at the sky it goes back to normal, but anytime I look down it chugs like mad. Edit: Looks like it's just specific ENB mods - the default one that you can get with climates of tamriel works fine, but Project ENB, Realvision, Truevision and others cause my system to massively stutter when I look at the ground - at the sky/treetops it's fine. Hothtrooper is a cool dude, makes some great armors and weapons and collaborates with dudes. Plus, he posts here once in a blue moon to let us know that we are his chosen disciples of mods for a silly video game where you shout at mans and they fall down. EDIT: Wait, you asked for GORE! I got gore. Burn Freeze Shock Effects causes dudes to get frozen and calcified and burned into char when you magic them too hard, Crimson Tide makes a whole lot of blood shoot out of dudes and pool around folk when they die from poo poo. Works great in conjunction with BLEED - A Blood Overhaul and it just makes an unholy mess of things when dudes die and oh my gosh it is so fun to wade through the carnage of a fun night spent cleaving into bandits or dragons. Burn Freeze and Shock Effects is associated with CTDs according to STEP so YMMV. TTYL.

I think Crimson Tide also has some associated issues (I remember it worked fine for most of my game then suddenly started causing CTDs). Enhanced Blood Textures seems to be the preferred option- despite the name it's a lot more than a texture replacer.

Morrowloot just removes everything above Steel from the base leveled lists. So basically you'll still find bandits using the stuff from IA and Cloaks of Skyrim/Winter Is Coming, but not super high-tier stuff.

I've always used this here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25404/ It just dumps in out in a random start with a semi-randomized kit. Be warned that there is at least one start that is messed up (it places you inside that dungeon from the Thief Guild quest and you can't get out or move forward). You can either warp somewhere with coc or just reload the save and it'll spit you out in a new location using that same character.

Dime's Quickstart is a very okay Helgen-skipper that just starts you out near the final exit with your of your choice in tow. It makes some changes to the underground section, so it probably breaks Helgen Reborn or whatever that huge-profile mod was named.

I tried Helgen Reborn even without Start Another Life and it made both carriages crash into some invisible barrier outside the town sooo. Also it's pretty silly not to use a mod "on principle" it's not like he's making any money or even personal satisfaction from knowing you use it. But whatev.

I've known about this mod for a long time now, but it wasn't until last night that I actually installed it. Within a few minutes, I had nailed a couple of Forsaken in a flammable oil trap and can safely say that the end result is a huge improvement to the base "effects".

It's a configurable alternate start that works really well. It even allows you to turn off the main quest. I've used every other alternate start mod out there, and Skyrim Unbound is the only one that does what I want it to do. widds2v posted:Is anyone else having issues with the Nexus? That Random Alternate Start mod had a reference to the Character Creation Overhaul mod which I'd never seen before. Anyone used it and have an opinion on it? I know it's fairly self explanatory with a decent readme, just wondering if it causes any problems for anyone.

I didn't notice any problems while I was using the two together, and I had been using CCO for a while before I decided to start using Random Alternate Start (so I figure I would have noticed something). The only thing that sort of sucks about Random Alternate Start is that you can get plopped down in some really weird places and have to fight/flee from enemies right off the bat. For example, I had barely pulled out my weapon before I was being attacked by a trio of bandits well above my level. Those sort of beginnings can be pretty funny though. Has anybody ever figured out the cause of "arrow lag"? Like, your arrows will start lagging far behind when yo actually "shoot" them--you'll release the button, hear the shot, and two or three seconds later, the arrow will finally leave your character. I've heard all sorts of theories like "if you save while you are sneaking" or "if you've fired too many arrows recently", but it doesn't seem like it's related to any one thing.

By and large, Undeath is basically fixed. There are no super game breaking bugs left, and I haven't really heard about any minor ones either. The author really got his poo poo together after a few weeks and now it seems 1.3 is a finished product.

Is there a soul gem mod that will allow multiple souls to build up in a gem to fill the size of the gem? All I can find are stuff like Acquisitive and Smart Souls that force only the specific sizes to match the specific gem.

I dig the kill moves, but I don't like the slow motion. Is there a way or a mod that disables just the slow mo? Adding "bvatsdisable=1" into the Skyrim ini just makes it so it never switches viewpoints.

If we each only chose to use the mods of authors who we specifically do not dislike, I think a lot of us wouldn't have much to choose from. With that said, if you don't want to use LAL for whatever reason, the best alternative is probably Skyrim Unbound on the steam workshop. I wouldn't trust using these year old quickstart mods and expect them to be in working order with some of the current mods, unofficial patches, and DLCs.

So I am currently doing a run as a khajiit unarmed fighter (effectively a monk given that they're now unarmoured as well; I wasn't originally planning that but then I saw the Dodge perk in the Pickpocket tree) and even with SPERG it feels really... unfulfilling. I mean it takes far too long to take down a lot of enemies and the only way it seems to make significant headway (outside of sneak attacking them) is to do the dual-wielding triple power attack thing and either way unarmed fighting feels really clumsy, it takes too long to swing for too little damage, even with khajiit bonuses (x2 thanks to Ancestral Awakening) and if I do the aforementioned triple attack and the enemy moves at all I tend to start flailing at empty air and losing a lot of my stamina for nothing, all the while getting hurt by archers and whatnot. Maybe it's the also being unarmoured thing, but maybe not. Anyway I'm asking if anyone knows of mods that make unarmed funner (while not clashing with SPERG) and also are good/stable. I don't really mind in what way though if there was one that changed up the attack animations to not be so clumsy then that might help (or whatever you call the actual attacking portion and not just how it looks).

Also some sort of unarmed-friendly ranged attack mod (I wanna throw fuckin' rocks or something!) would be cool.
