Does anyone playing in a non-english region have a ditto for trade? I need a foreign ditto for Masuda's method, and have a US one. Can also offer Charmander, Pichu, Torchic and Froakie eggs. My friend code is Dav 0662 3389 8211, thanks pals. Edit: Got one! SCROTEBUSTIN fucked around with this message at 23:08 on Oct 15, 2013 |

Also gently caress the Badlands. I can't seem to pick up enough speed to get over this rail. Any hints?

Help Im Alive posted:Are you using the exp share? It's basically easy mode I was so excited to evolve all my guys that I didn't even realize the implications. But then I got to the third gym and now I'm 10 levels above the gym leader somehow. I'm turning it off now but it's probably too late and the rest of the game will be really easy. Oh well.

As for Cinnabar in Gen 2, it's still there, mostly destroyed. And Team Plasmas attack might count in gen 5, though nothing was destroyed.

IMO without exp share I probably wouldn't be that into this game if I had to constantly grind each one of my pokemon. I'd probably only have 1 single team of pokemon instead of leveling up multiple teams and having different squads. Just keep changing your party around!

Seriously, Pokemon is never a challenge unless you go waaaaay out of your way to make it one and I'd take being a little over leveled over being forced to grind any day. The freedom to mix up your team without having to spend forever getting the new guys up to speed is a nice change to pace.

Just wondering what a good moveset is for a Special Sweeper Jolteon. I gave it Thunderbolt and Shadowball. Was thinking on giving it Charge Beam also, any professional thoughts?

This method right here is how you make the game more challenging. People talk about being super over-leveled for the gym leaders and everything, but doing this, I've been consistently at or slightly under the expected level. Not only do I get to use a bunch of my favorites, but battles aren't a complete curb-stomp.

The Shortest Path posted:Special Aegislash would also be pretty good, but you also have to look at what you're going to be likely to use Steel and Ghost moves against and what kind of defenses they have. The majority of rock types have large physical defenses, but ghost, psychic, and fairy types heavily lean toward special defense. Ice is a bit of a mixed bag. Aegislash is too fast for Gyro Ball. Even at minimum speed Gyro Ball is outdamaged by Iron Head/Flash Cannon on everything slower than 115 Base Speed and most stuff faster than that isn't bulky enough for the extra power to be worth it. Physical and Special Aegislash is going to come down to Sacred Sword, Shadow Sneak and Swords Dance vs. Hidden Power and a slight BP boost to Ghost STAB. Mixed might be pretty good though, with Hidden Power Ice or something on an otherwise physical set.

Water, Dark, Ghost, Fighting, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Normal, Bug, Grass, Ground, Rock, from the TMs I have. Volt Switch/[T-bolt/Thunder]/[Signal Beam/Shadow Ball]/[HP Ice/Rain Dance] Signal Beam is very common on Jolteon due to bug's great coverage on common threats in the meta (TTar, Reuniclus), but Shadow Ball offers decent coverage too. Volt Switch is fantastic, Jolteon is speedy and if you smell any danger you can eject safely. HP Ice is the most common back up special attack, but if you don't want to go through the effort of breeding a million Eevees for one with HP Ice, you can pack Rain Dance for improved Thunders. E: If Jolteon has access to a special fairy move (moon blast?), that makes for a great replacement for HP Ice.
