Well they did already have one of those SUPER AWKWARD face-to-face's after Oliver Tarzan'd her off the mine on the island. I would prefer it doesn't go anywhere either but I think there's a distinct possibility they're going to something with it.

I'm honestly not convinced they're not going there. The way they've written her since the end of season 1 gives me the impression they're pushing that pretty hard. Of course, that could just be fanservice for the shipper crowd, so y'never know.

She's great, and I don't know what the rest of you are on, but she's clearly got a massive lady-boner for Ollie, and that's where it ends. She keeps getting distracted by how attractive he is, but he has never responded in kind. She knows it won't go anywhere, he only mildly reacts every time she says something stupid, and it's 100% obvious it'll be Ollie and Laurel, even excluding any comic knowledge.

That's part of what I like about her. She recognizes he's hot as all gently caress and will oogle him on that salmon ladder all day long but doesn't seem to have an interest other wise. She doesn't wilt around and get all soppy, she tells him to get his own damned coffee and shove it where the sun don't shine. A woman can appreciate a perfect male specimen without getting all mopey and in love.

I also find Ollies complete lack of reaction to her Freudian slips hilarious. He's just blank phased and unfazed, patiently waiting for her to work through it and move on.

Nothing wrong with acknowledging Ollie is a pretty hot fella.

I doubt they'll push a relationship. They're just young, hot pals.

Though, with Laurel seeming out of the romance subplot angle, who will it be? It's the CW, so they've gotta have at least one. Can I get a Diggle up in here? It can be used as a parallel with Ollie and Slade's blossoming romance on the island.

I wasn't sure what to think about Summer's character. She seemed like a typical faux-antagonist. She's not going to repeat on the show, is she? I wonder how that character would advance any development. But I guess Ollie has to get better at running his company somehow, so maybe she pushes that side of him.

I think the faux-antagonist call is spot on. True, her name is in the book, but that's a great opportunity for some conflict about his motivations, and whether he really wants to take down every name on the list. Ollie's shown he's all for taking down non-list people that do deserve it, but I don't think he's ever chosen not to pardon a list person that doesn't deserve punishment.

And just because I like wild baseless speculation, then she'll turn out to be Raven because we already have the Blood connection.

It's not the lame excuses, it's the fact she has magic powers of can-do-anything. Shes Kara Thrace only shorter and better looking.

What exactly was her position before? If she a high enough position in their tech department, it'd be a little more believable. You make a good point, though. Have they had her doing random non-computer stuff this season like that? I feel like they've done a better job reigning that in this season now that they've got a handle on exactly what her role is.

(also I loved the flimsy excuses. Even Ollie knew they were flimsy, and he knew Felicity didn't buy them, he just didn't even give a care 'cause he's a badass like that.)

Fixed that for you.

It is great how Felicity is not consumed by unrequited love for Ollie. The situation with Laurel is bad enough, we don't need Ollie-Felicity drama. And there is nothing wrong with ogling Stephen Amell, seriously. If she goes into a relationship, I hope it is with someone else. Like Diggle.

Last week's episode established that she went to MIT. Up until now she had an unspecified job in the IT department. That doesn't completely excuse the occasionally lazy and/or ridiculous tech related writing, but Arrow is hardly the first TV show to have that problem, and I don't see it as an issue with her character. Felicity is to this show what Oracle is (was?) to Batman, albeit with Oliver and Felicity having a different interpersonal dynamic.

Plus, she's a nerd. What do nerds do around hot people? They get all creepy. The fact that Ollie doesn't even react is all that keeps it from being sad or creepy.

God drat it this guy is charming. Too bad he has to brood 95% of the time on the show.

I started watching on Netflix and ended up going through season one in a about a week. Season two so far is pretty good, I hope Michael Jai White becomes even more involved.
I like how this show doesn't mind doing fun stuff like the "hand-cuffing" arrows, but on the flip side it gets a bit too serious some times. I'd like a bit more camp, like, the Count in season one was hilarious. Has Green Arrow ever gone through a fun phase in the comics?

That second video is fantastic, and I really like it when actors display a legitimate interest in the shows that they're on. It's great listening to him talk about how he's excited that that one guy is directing an episode again, or talking about episodes fans liked, etc. It always kind of bums me out whenever an actor on a show I really like does an interview and it becomes really obvious that they don't really care all that much and just treat it as a job.
