One of the funniest things about those forums is the insane rules/etiquette poo poo they have going on. Well, theoretically anyway. Seriously, go and have a look, there's two separate threads with massive convoluted points, infractions, regulations and the like. If I recall, it takes 20 points to be perma-banned, but some things will get you 100 points, which can only really mean that you get 5 x perma. Post porn? You and all of your family are banned for ever and ever. What spells are you guys using at endgame? Leaf blower and Magnet sphere seem to work for me, though Leaf blower has poo poo range and Magnet sphere is very slow.

Sandstone is probably my favorite building material, and the walls look great if you mix them with the grass walls the Dryad sells, gives it a sort of overgrown ruins feeling. Normally I'm not very creative and build  style towers, but I'm pretty happy with my layout so far, probably turn it into a floating pyramid, Laputa style castle, or maybe even a Jedi Temple, I haven't decided yet.

It's too big. Rooms have a maximum as well as a minimum size. From the Terraria Wiki:quote:Including the floor, side walls and ceiling, a Home must have at least 60 total tiles, but less than 1900.

Really like how it looks with the sandstone, might have to steal that.

Normally I'm not very creative and build If you have the staff that puts grass on dirt you can swap out the occasional sandstone block for grassy dirt and get some vines hanging down that way. The staff that places leaf blocks is also good for getting that "overgrown" feel.

So I can finally see what people mean about the vampire knives being OP. Fuuuck. Since I've had them, I've just strolled through everything without a scratch. I feel a bit like I've killed the game, might have to do something to mix it up a bit, maybe go mele for a bit.

I set up a few platforms high above a chasm in Crimson and farmed Crimson mobs for an hour or two with a Nimbus rod and got a key, which gave me vampire knives, which totally trivialized everything. I was using a True Night's Edge with Turtle Armor, so I was already really drat brutal, but now... now I don't even have to click. Things just die. Plantera was nothing, and the dungeons are equally laughable, so long as I keep moving. I still want to get Shroomite armor and a nice gun, but drat, all those posts were right, Vamp Knives totally break Terraria. I don't even know what he was thinking since he went so far out of his way to make sure people couldn't get endless health regen. I'm kinda stuck progression-wise right now; I built up a full set of molten armor, flame-sword & everything else before beating the wall, and now I'm just getting stomped. I've got a full set of the 2nd-tier armor (Orichlum?) and a drill, but enemies are still crushing me. I don't quite know where to go; the Jungle destroyed me, Hallow/Corrupt biomes are neigh-impossible, and I can't find enough ore to reliably mine for more than a few minutes before hardmode enemies show up and crush me. What should I be looking to do?

The best use for the vampire knives is to get some turtle armor and facetank every boss. At the same time  But yeah triggered healing really needs some sort of cooldown on how often it can affect you.

Golden shower really trivializes most enemies, especially with mage oriented items. It helped that the first time it rained after the last time I entered hard mode an Angry Nimbus spawned and dropped a Nimbus Rod, it plus an underground Crimson right above the lavapools (plus a lava charm) made farming the underground Crimson for ichor and souls a breeze.

What should I be looking to do? Never make a drill. Even if he's fixed the sound on them drills have no knockback while picks have knockback. That alone is reason enough to get a pick.

A star cannon with a few hundred stars and/or a megashark with a thousand crystal bullets used to be the gear that allowed you to solo skeletron prime or the twins if you planned and chugged the right potions. now you can just facetank everything with the vamp knives or the spectre armor.

How big should I make my Hellbridge? Right now, it's about 1/4 of the length of my world, which is a large world. Also, I really wish there was a Repel-type item that would reduce/eliminate spawns for a period of time. It's hard to build this poo poo when you're being assaulted by bats every 5 seconds.

I was very happy when it took me a mere two or three reforges to get godly vampire knives. Of course, when I decide to swap out my ghost wings for bone wings because they look nicer, it takes 4 plat to even get armored.
