Why? The way you describe it, the cyclist was the one at fault. If they ran a red into oncoming traffic, that's their own drat problem.

You know what kills wasps in a millisecond? Brakleen. Also, on an unrelated note, it looks like those brakes really need cleaning

To be sure, the brakes would need replacement of virtually all parts to tip top, but my aim was just to make the car brake with confidence again (or send it to the junk yard failing that). I was successful, but new parts look so out of place here... Note, to any other idiots doing the same job: buy tools for handling the springs, they may be old but god drat do they not want to go back into the holes...

You hated camouflage with a black seat so you made it black with a camouflage seat. Did you spray paint the chain?

# ? Oct 27, 2013 01:49 |

It's getting a new front and rear sprocket and a new chain anyway in a day or two. I go through chains fairly fast (3-8k at most) even with a scottoiler-style setup because O and X-ring chains don't fit on the front sprocket at all, so I have to use a plain one. EDITVVVVV: it was just green, a shiny olive. But over a few years, even with waxing and buffing, the India paint chalked up badly, and it turned three different shades of green (four if you count the oil stained spots). So, I stripped and/or cleaned the paint, scuffed it up, and gave it a coat of that appliance epoxy. It used to be a beautiful OD green, though the tank was always a slightly different color due to repairs that were done early on: Queen_Combat fucked around with this message at 02:40 on Oct 27, 2013 |
