You can swap the 16v head onto other kcar motors right? That'd be one hell of a turbo caravan.

Only the ones with the semi-auto gearbox. The slushbox ones have a ZF transmission that's probably the most reliable thing in the entire car.

You can but they are so rare, and its easier/cheaper to build a Neon DOHC head hybrid motor, or just swap in a 2.4 Turbo motor outright from a PT/SRT-4.

You should make a turbo Dodge thread (or did you already, a long time ago?). They used to be really popular here but once the Hondas took over amongst the rice squad, I don't see them anymore.

The GRM forums are chock full of guys doing cheap-as-hell turbo Dodge builds for the $2013 challenge and they seem really interesting. Be nice to have an OP that explains the various generations of engines, ECUs, transmissions, all the different k-cars with them (I didn't know about the Shelby Lancer/Lancer Shelby until this weekend), etc. A lot of the websites out there seem to be pretty outdated and I'm sure there's a lot of interchange potential with hot Neons to build fast ghettomobiles.

Price isn't too bad considering it looks pretty good and recent paint. You can verify the "florida car" claim in about 2 second by checking the floor where the e-brake cable exits on the drivers side, and the pinch welds underneath in front of the rear wheels.

This is actually a rare config for the non-r/t Iroc, most had the 3L. Also the last of the Shelby branded Mopars.

I guess that depends on what you're after. If you want a 50's pickup in this area that has all of the parts, that's not too bad. For half of that you get a rusted out shell, or no bed, or no motor.

I called about the Daytona, and the owner told me it now has "head gasket problems". I asked him what it was doing and he said burning a lot of oil  . Sounds to me like there are several potential major issues here, and even though he told me he would sell it for next to nothing, I think it's best I pass on this one.
