What's the easiest way to play with goons? I've done the form, I suppose just waiting works? At any rate, I'm new to the game. I've just got my one frame (Excalibur) and crafted a new melee weapon. Is there an optimal way to get new frames, as a beginner (besides buying them)?

How long do you want to dick around in each area before moving onto the next? I've finished Mercury and have the first Venus mission unlocked, but got completely wrecked when I tried it. My Excalibur's currently Rank 9, and my weapons range from ranks 5-8.

Well then. Do not get downed with the scanner out. Dunno if it's consistent, but I got locked in the goofy no weapon in hand pose when I was revived. Couldn't scan or switch to my other weapons. Thankfully melee still worked. (Chain stunning gunners with the Galatine is hilarious.)

The balance probably got screwed up for new players since everything about damage was just changed. I would save up to buy a regular Braton first, and then try to get the Serration and Redirection mods. You'll be able to deal and take a lot more damage if you have those and upgrade them. Also definitely don't try to play solo if you're doing that, it kinda makes the game fall apart a little. I have mine slotted with full crit and ice/fire for blast damage. At just 33% crit and 3.2x damage multiplier and a 10% status chance, at LEAST ONE will procone of the four statuses attached to it. Over 1000 of the base damages and 1300 blast makes everything and anything melt instantaneously. So long, Acrid.

Hey PS4 people, the clan needs Polymer Bundles and Plastids to start researching the Ignis, as well as Rubedo, Nano Spores, Circuits, Mutagen Samples, and credits for the other labs. Get involved so we can all get sweet flamethrowers and burn lots of stuff to a crisp! e: Also, I just got the blueprint for the Glaive as a login bonus. Is that worth crafting or is it just gimmicky? The Sobek, if you get Nightmare mods, is probably the best in class right now, since it combines adequate damage and a reasonable critical chance with high accuracy and a gigantic magazine, plus full-auto capability. Hek is still very good at killing things, but not quite as good as the Sobek IME. Disclaimer: If you don't have the reload speed mod there is a chance you will die of old age before it finishes reloading.

Hek and Sobek are Mastery 4, so they're out as far as babby's first shotgun goes. Strun is Mastery 1, and then there's Tigris, but I'm not sure about Tigris' mastery requirements. Tigris is a little weird to get used to. Only two shots, the first shot fires on mousedown, the second shot fires on mouseup, like a charged bow shot. Tap to effectively burstfire both. The second shot can be reload-canceled. It seems to be a low spread shotgun like Hek and Sobek, but its damage type is weighted towards Slash. For utility mods, you pretty much only need reload speed. Strun is a normal semiautomatic with six shots, wider spread, and slightly lower total physical damage than Tigris. It's very slow to reload and somewhat slow to fire, so you'll definitely want fire rate and reload speed utility mods to get those out of the way. Do note that all shotguns have damage dropoff over range, so you want to be using them at close to midrange. Then there are the shotgun pistols...

You guys weren't kidding about Rhino. I was thinking, what could be more fun than Vauban and sword Loki. *Rhino Charge* Ok, Mass Effect Vanguard clone does the trick. Edit: What are good ways of farming credit? I've already used up all of the ones from the Jupiter event
