My favorites kind of changed every gen until gen 3. Gen 1 was definitely Jolteon back then because I was in love with electric types and Jolteon was a super fast spiky eevee. This changed to Scizor in Gen 2 because holy crap its a shiny red metal badass hello it was a no brainer. (un?)Fortunately In Gen 3 and onwards I settled on the best starter I ever had, Blaziken. Dude was a fighting fire chicken and that was the most badass thing in the world as a kid. He might have not been the most useful competitively(when shoddybattle was a thing) but I loved that chicken. Despite Gen IV being awful to it and picking up clear to ubers in V and VI I still remember Blaziken for Gen 3 and those old days.

I thought Heliolisk was worthless, but then I got a Solar Powered one to synergize with my Charizard-Y in doubles, tripples, and rotation, and he is a beast.

Basculin is a tiny fish with so much omnidirectional anger that it literally could not be contained in one sprite and he had to have two sprites made just to contain all of his hatred for the world. It should totally have fans. It's not my favorite, sure, that's a tie between Drifblim and Magcargo, but Basculin totally rules.

Next gotta evolve this guy oh no wait; I have to use move reminder, fly over here... OH NO whoops; no heartscales; off to use my pokemiles. Ok got the heart scale now to get the move. Ok good; now to evolve this gu... Oh gently caress I need to trade him. Gotta open up IRC; hey guys can someone trade back a kingdra for me? Ok thanks. Got kingdra now I'm ready to actually play the game.

He's my two favorite colors, he's dragon type, his name reminds me of MegaMan X, and he wrecks Mewtwo's poo poo in the Origins OVA. What's not to love?

How much time and effort did they take away from other 'mon's for that? And to top it off, they hyped it up as super powerful. It isn't. So after installing the 1.1 patch, it now says that my save file is not compatible and can't be used. The only information I'm given is to look at the electronic manual, which says to erase the save and start over. Am I screwed?

Are we talking about favorite Pokemon now? Gold was my first Pokemon game and Ampharos has been my favorite since pretty much the first day I played it. I love that loving lighthouse sheep and I was so goddamn happy when I first saw his mega evolution.

I'm thinking of building up a Heliolisk evasion tank with Sand Veil, Sandstorm, and Thunder Wave for lockdown. Maybe give it Thunderbolt and Surf for a bit of coverage. Yeah I know it's banned from Smogon but I'm probably never gonna play with them so who cares. I mean I could probably go find one with Dry Skin but I like the one I've got

I kind of liked Drowzee when I first saw it as a little kid. Thought it was a ballin' hypnosis tapir and that's pretty cool. My favourite pokemon is still Ivysaur, after all these years. I don't give a drat if the grass starter sucks, I love him and thats that. Clefairy is running a close second though.
