This might be a bit of a stretch but if anyone in this thread knows what the outro music for 394 is I'd love to know who the artist is. I've tried searching different parts of the lyrics and used shazam but neither resulted in anything and this thread is about the only other place I could think to ask. It starts at about 1:10:45s, it's an old folk song most likely from the depths of Jonathan's collection and because of this I'm worried I'm not going to be able to find a copy of it anywhere. Maybe not, but I laugh more in the worst episode than anything from someone as awful as Pete Holmes. Maybe I'm biased, but Jesus, not a single vote in what has been an amazing year of shows just blows my mind

Eh, to be honest I think it's just because none of them listen to it. It hasn't even been in Podmass for a few weeks, and was often in The Rest, so I'm guessing the guy they assigned to cover it wasn't a huge fan. Whatever, the podcasts that are on it are mostly great, especially like #6 - #1 (I have never listened to Dan Savage).

Savage Love is good, another SA recommendation that's stayed on my player. Sometimes he really gets balls-deep in gay life to the extent I get bored (how was that for a pun?) but there is also generally good hetro-talk on there. Dan's approach to life and people are really the good stuff, talking straight about people's bullshit and gives you a good basis on how to judge relationships and situations. Sometimes it'll get on my nerves, I really couldn't stand the trans-gender people talking about their horrible lives and how insurance should pay for their sex changes because it's a 'medical condition'. But, the suicide rate in that group is high so I'm probably just part of the problem. That's Savage in a nutshell - sometimes, quite often, it's great and you'll be laughing along or learning or interested. Sometimes you really wonder what the gently caress am I listening to edit: I once put it on with my sister in the car and of course Dan opens with 4 minutes of detailed buttfucking talk. Be careful who you 'share' it with

What's so bad about Pete Holmes? I haven't heard much of You made it weird, and only seen some of The Pete Holmes Show on Youtube. But the stuff I have seen and heard have been ok, I'd rather listen to him than WTF. I wouldn't say it's one of the best podcasts ever, but my only real critique would be that he could do with some serious editing, because the eps are stupid long. But yeah, lack of UYD on that list is crazy. Then again, something as awesome as 99% invisible just got one vote, which is equally mind blowing in my opinion.

The AV Club has become extremely loving lame, to the point which they will spend an extensive article each week breaking down pony show, so I don't really think it has any value anymore. That said even when they did review UYD, they didn't super like it anyway, so whatever.

UYD doesn't advertise, and they don't suck the dick of the media for the most part unless asked for an interview. Don't be surprised they aren't on some list. Meanwhile, I just got my little brother to be a regular listener and we watched the UYD animations with my puh-paw after Thanksgiving dinner.
