On one planet there were really gross meat trees that were just fleshy beanstalks with egg looking bubbles at the tops. I was totally full up so I didn't pick up any of what they dropped which was that pink fleshy beanstalk looking stuff. I'd imagine you could use it to make the fleshy chest.

You can, as well as a fleshy door. Actually the flesh door is off-center a bit for some reason.

It's good to know that the Crimson can live on in spirit, in Starbound. The meat dimension was my favorite part of the 1.2 patch.

MrTheDevious posted:Am I the only person getting horrible guilt over murdering aliens and stealing their poo poo, then leaving to find a new planet and do the same? Every time I've opened Floran Prison cells, I've I thought to myself "This time they will thank me and we can be cool friends and have a lava party Then they try to eat me like Cuddlebeak nuggets Also, in regards to the whole "Dude getting powerful drops is easy/No dude craft something", however the weapons and armor overhaul turns out, I don't think I will ever relive the glory of the Cthulu killer taken from a slain giant desert monster. That's right, I know you're jealous. It shoots BUBBLES! That really sums up my luck with weapons though. The 2 Iron bar tiny dagger far oustrips basically every single weapon I have found in chests or dropped from enemies big and small, which made the 10 bar 1-hander a comparative doomsday weapon. One of my other Giant monster drops was a 3 armor pen version of the Chtulu Slayer. I really hope I can use Copper to make weapons soon, because when about half the weapons I've found performed worse overall than my STARTING WEAPON. 2 or 3 armor pen wasn't helping when I'd get things with slower swing speed and about half the damage. Also nthing the comments that I've had zero One-Handed Weapon's drop. Shield drops from Florans went from zero to piles the second I crafted one though. Disclaimer: I was also playing in a boring, no spreadsheets let's check out these nearby T1-3 worlds first just to be safe fashion. EDIT: vvv A lot of people also mention how easy it is to get good poo poo on your starting world. The Cthulu slayer is more an example of how you can end up with things that are arguably worse than your STARTING WEAPON as Giant Monster drops, which is just dumb no matter what level world it is. Worse speed, worse damage, all it had going for it was that it shot a spread of nearly harmless bubbles (they did 5 damage, WHOO!) I'm not surprised that I didn't find Excalibur sitting around the first few T1-3 worlds. But that doesn't mean almost every weapon found should be barely better than your starting sword, or notably worse, especially as a Miniboss drop. For the changeable beam-down points, it would be nice if it was just using some iron to craft a pad that looks identical to the beam-down pad on the ship, but can be placed and picked up. Hitting E over the pad first time after you place it would give you a little text box to set the name of the pad, and any other time after the name is set it beams you back to the ship. Then, once you try to beam down to the planet again, it pops up a list of pads showing all their different names, along with the default beam-down point. That way you'd not only be able to put a beam-down pad outside your house in multiplayer without screwing everyone else settling on that planet, you'd also be able to use it as an impromptu teleporter network.

Do mods change the universe seeding? I installed a couple small ones and made a new character, went to drop off a care package and my old character finds "Alpha Gamma Her 9367 II" at the coordinates, but the new one ends up on "Alpha Gamma Her 9367 II a" which is apparently totally different
