I'd say a "typical" 7 foot tree probably ranges from $30 at some discount places with "bulk grade" trees, up to $100 at a fancy nursery for a high quality example of a desirable species.

You can't really get a truck up to the trees (well, past the access roads) and normally they load more than one tree on at a time (I think they did the small number of trees for speed in this video). I felt bad for the dumbass that asked for socks because there was clearly some corporate viral marketing poo poo going on in the blue Santa video feed and he should have known better. I have no stake in this, but one of them is John Glaser of Delocated/Parks and Rec and there is a 0% chance he was not in on the joke so I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that it was at least partially staged.
