OH gently caress I FORGOT ABOUT POMO PROMETHEUS that is my absolute favourite episode of anything ever i wrote and directed a frankenstein pantomime partly because of that episode when i was in undergrad because i watched it during one of my routine biannual xfiles marathons and was like 'omg if they can do a weird xfiles ep about frankenstein you can do a comedy based on it', because my favourite book is frankenstein and ive been obsessed since i was little. that fuckin panto was the first show i ever wrote and directed and even though it was dumb as hell and ended with the cast singing the rainbow connection it actually gave me the confidence to start doing my own shows instead of putting on other people's. the year after that two friends and i wrote and directed a musical and took it to comedy and fringe festivals and got mad good reviews, and i kept doing shows until i started working a real job, and now i just write sketches for other shows gently caress how the gently caress did i forget pomo prometheus Fruity Gordo fucked around with this message at 18:06 on Dec 14, 2013 |

being able to do impressions is so loving random if you don't get trained to do them, imo it's like having a natural talent for a certain kind of physical activity like incredible balance or flexibility, or recognising patterns few other people can see, or having perfect pitch, or being preternaturally gentle or kind. idk what it is that makes me able to do decent impressions and accents, but i can't dance or balance or do geometry for poo poo so it all comes out in the wash the geometry thing is especially frustrating because i make my own clothes sometimes and, um, the entirety of patternmaking is geometry. gently caress you geometry

I saw Cher perform once (I was an usher so I didn't pay) and I enjoyed it when she sang Gypsies Tramps and Thieves. I imagine it was for a completely different reason than what most people where there for.
