Tomn posted:So I just saw the trailer for Warlock 2. Between that and Leviathan Warships, I'm starting to wonder - does Paradox's advertising strategy currently consist of "Try to make the audience laugh and hope it all works out"? Considering how much their games tend to be targeted towards a bit of a niche and how difficult it would be to make an exciting trailer for games that are largely focused on looking at maps for extended periods of time, I think it's pretty fair for Paradox to go for a laugh. The trailer for The Old Gods was pretty good in that respect; the combination of the maps, the metal and "BEARD" was pretty excellent.

So I've noticed that in Darkest Hour, all combat brigades (so not AA, Eng etc.) give some reduction to the vulnerability of their divisions. Except for Tank Destroyers. Is there some kind of historical reason for that? Doesn't that make them kinda useless, esp. compared to SP-Art?

If that's DH Full I'm presuming it's intentional. I've always felt there are too many drat brigades in the game- so much stuff to research and so much of it is only useful in specialized circumstances and is mutually exclusive with versatile stuff like medium armor, but everybody researched and built them in real life. I'd kind of prefer Hearts of Iron III's system where technology boost units directly, so you don't have to build tank destroyer brigades to take advantage of them.

About that Wiz, why is it in CK2 kingdoms are better than duchies and have gameplay mechanics that benefit them? To keep the challenge up, founding a kingdom should instantly give a 50k man retinue to every realm you border. Please implement tia.

Europa Universalis IV needs a bureaucracy mechanic. The larger and more successful your empire is, the more entangled the bureaucracy becomes. With each successful war you will need to draft a series of lengthy laws detailing the administration and incorporation of your new territory. Eventually all of your time becomes consumed with establishing tax codes and making administrative appointments, but you will ultimately never be able to do enough to stem the eventual slow decline of your realm.

"Bureaucracy Simulator 2014" seems like it might actually be kind of fun, but simultaneously the most grognardy game ever. This does look very spacey, and a bit different from the shots posted earlier. The other shots looked more like game concept art. Looking at the pixelyness on the debris in the bottom right, I'd be leaning towards this being an ingame screenshot. ... maybe a space RTS?
