The robots will be performing at the Grammies in 2014. It's the first time they've played the Grammies since 2008 when they backed Kanye. That'll be interesting to see since it's not only Daft Punk's first televised performance in years, but also their first live performance in years period. First time performing any of the RAM material live. The pyramid probably won't make its return, but I wonder if they'll have some other neat gimmick.

Okay, maybe I worded that wrong: I wonder what their next gimmick will be

I hope they get to do a RAM song and then have Kanye up as a surprise guest for New Slaves or Black Skinhead or something. What am I kidding, it's the Grammys, that will never happen.

I hope it turns out that they don't actually play anything and they just stand by silently and give an award to Taylor Swift.

What's the contingency plan if they win an award? Do they wear the suits throughout the whole show?

They spend 20 minutes walking to the stage, accept the award, Thomas explodes and Guyman sets himself on fire and walks off hand in hand with Adele.

If they DON'T stand up on the stage silently in the robot costumes, completely silent, until they get played off, I'm going to be disappointed. That, or the victory speech is typed out on the screens of their helmets.

They need to use the robot voices they used in that Toonami promo they were in.

Why wouldn't Pharrell just accept it? He's the lead singer of Daft Punk.

I reckon it'd be awesome if they were in casual clothes, no costume, no gimmick, no nothing, just to gently caress with everybody.

They could always hire Professor Irwin Corey to accept the award for them? It worked for Thomas Pynchon.

I really liked the video for "Instant Crush". Probably because I really like the fairytale it seems to be inspired by. With them melting and all that. "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" by H.C. Andersen for those of you who didn't notice / know.

Apparently the Grammy appearance will also include Stevie Wonder, Pharrell, Nile Rodgers and the RAM session players. I'm pretty interested to see how this will turn out.

Whoa whoa whoa, let's not go that far. If I'm going to a county fair to catch an act I like, that doesn't mean I'm gonna eat the fried pigs' feet or make friends with the carnies.

Yeah, the Grammies don't mean poo poo and I don't give a gently caress who wins what award because it's all meaningless, but I am gonna watch it for that performance. It's their first live performance in years, it has a bunch of the collaborators from the album and it has Stevie Wonder. As a big fan of the album, how could I not be interested in seeing that?

Prediction: They'll play a medley of Get Lucky, Happy (the pharrell song), and a Stevie Wonder song. No idea what Thomas and Guy will actually do during the performance though. Pretend they're singing the vocoder parts? What would be really cool is if Stevie brought out his old talkbox and provided the robot voices himself. Haha.

Billboard's reporting that they'll wear stormtrooper helmets to the Grammys and perform Stevie Wonder's "I Wish", Chic's "Le Freak", Get Lucky and Lose Yourself To Dance. Now let's see if they show up
