By the end it hardly even sounded like he was really going to end the show, he had just outgrown non-profit radio AKA needs a paycheck.

Coming soon: The Best Show on Sirius XM Satellite Radio. I don't know how well that's going to sound in a theme song.

Also does anyone know what episode it was where the Wurster call had a detailed retelling of the Trent L. Strauss directed final episode of Laverne and Shirley (It only aired once!)

I think it was the May 22, 2012 edition. I remember that episode because that's the one where Chris Gethard talks about hitchhiking across the country to Bonnaroo or something like that. Also, looking at the description Dave Hill was on that episode and he's now going to take over the Best Show's old timeslot.

Listening to the Best Show Gem "Danny Phipps from Glass Houses, America's Number One Billy Joel Tribute Band", it's funny hearing Jon Benjamin calling in to a Wurster call and basically doing his Jason-from-Home-Movies voice.

If you're interested in Dave Hill's show and don't hate Seven Second Delay, the last episode has Dave as a guest and serves as his intro to the station. Dave does well with this trial by fire, and won me over with his vast knowledge of 80's rock guitarists along with his good manners.

If you miss Tom's music and aren't already listening to his wife Terre T's show The Cherry Blossom Clinic, it's time to check it out. She plays great music and has lots of live in studio performances.

Bob Seger must be deeply upset that his Father has passed.

If anyone's looking for Tom talking about him, it's 7/12/11, about 1h20 in. The image of Pete Seeger getting electrocuted axing the soundboard during Dylan's performance is incredible.

You just reminded me that Pete Seeger was one if the advance obituaries they recorded on 7SD a while back. The idea was they would be able to interrupt whatever was playing on the station with a heartfelt tribute, right after the news broke. Time to go digging in the archives.

You know what I really want? A best show archives phone app. Just give me every episode in a convenient app and I will gladly pay money for it. I want to just have access to every episode at my whim without dealing with the old eps that only play in VLC and I can't even fast forward or anything.

Even better make it so you could tag certain parts of episodes with the best rants/callers/Wurster bit's so people could vote them up or whatever. I wish I had app making ability so I could pitch this because it needs to be made.

The new episode of Low Times was great, they did the Fantasy Band Draft again. Tom is so good at destroying Maggie and Daniel's bands with the switcheroos. When Tom was talking about Robin Thicke I couldn't stop laughing and I was in public.

Haven't listened to the new one yet, but I will say that Toms real masterstroke in the first draft was managing to convince Maggie to improve his overly safe band.
