I think it looks pretty awesome, do you have any backgrounds for it to see how it fits?

It is far to light and flat, like it has no shadows on it. Make the outlines darker and give it some form.

Awesome, see if I'll catch Tiy around some day.
I agree with the whole opinion on it feeling very alien to the environment without an outline.
Except for that I would totally want to adopt that pug.

I think for the laying-down pose his back legs should be moved forward, we should probably be able to see his haunches too. Front legs should probably move forward a bit as well. The standing pose looks great.

Struggled a bit trying to keep that blue-green colour scheme in the cyborg and still find enough shade tones within the palette.

I'm not a fan of the shadowing, but the shadowing looks really good in game, so whatever pass is happening seems to be working. I'd maybe tilt the head towards the camera more or push the tail back? My favorite thing about pugs is their wrinkly faces, but I'm not sure if you're ok with exaggerating proportions for happy wrinkle time.

Thanks again for the feedback. I've done some shading to contrast it up a bit:

I'm going to switch to GraphicsGale as Photoshop is doing my head in with animations.

Satisfied with how the interface and items are coming along for my game but having trouble figuring out a decent palette for the terrain. (Mix of new and old art/colors there.)

Also I really like this rabbit. Had to use a reference though.

I'm not exactly sure if it counts as pixel-art but I've been progressing a bit on this when I have some free time at work, thinking of metroidvania style games:

Each part of the demon is separate to make animating it easier.

Imo spread out the light on the background, give it a bit more falloff. Or center it. Or something. It's drawing too much focus to the feet and to the stage itself, away from the monster's head where you probably want them to look. Otherwise the monster itself is awesome.

I've been practicing some pixel art lately, and could do with some feedback / advice. These are some examples of people that I've been toying around with, as you may see I too have been watching a fair bit of TNG lately.

The lack of arms are intentional because no matter how long I tried I couldn't get them to look decent, and I've come to like the idea of a Rayman-esque disembodied hands style. The problem I'm running into now is bringing some level of detail and definition to them. I also have no idea what to do about the legs. Obviously triangle crotches look like garbage, but I run into the same problem with legs as I do with the arms - in that I just don't know what to do to make them look like they belong, I suppose. Would it be easier if I tried maybe doing them smaller? Any help is appreciated.

Here's my take on how you could add arms. I also made the leg pose a little more natural and tweaked the feet to give a bit more sense of perspective.

The lost definition on the front arm is fixed by animation I'd say. I like the no-neck also, and no-arms could be good, but arms do look nice too.

Overall the style on these is really rad and I love them a lot :allears:
