I got the reference, I'm just telling you that Chase Daniel is the QB of the future as soon as the Chiefs sign Jeremy Maclin this offseason.

Hundley is pretty good and reminds me of Tannehill with a less accurate arm. He's got a lot of issues with dropping his eyes and taking off, same with Boyd. He'll test well at the combine but I think he's a project.

Edit: Tannehill, not Kaepernick. His throwing motion looks exactly like Tannehill's up until the point of release.

I agree. He seems like the guy most likely to fall to Tampa. Sitting for a year behind Glennon might not be the worst thing for him should that scenario happen.

Ebron would be cool but I want to see what Travis Kelce can do when healthy, he was supposed to be the hot receiving TE for the Chiefs and I still have hope.

I have to say I was not impressed with Bortles last night. His accuracy and touch were...consistently bad. I don't know how much of that was the field conditions, but I don't remember a single throw he made that really stood out as excellent.

He had a few good ones to the deep left, although one of those was blown coverage. Despite the score I think the defense for both teams were playing pretty well.

Same, though Hundley entering the draft means it's less likely someone grabs Mettenberger, leaving us free to get Clowney. :getin:

But to go with your idea, how would you feel about, say, trading down with Cleveland to grab Khalil Mack and then trading up later with the late first pick + our second and grabbing Hundley?

It's early still but I thought Hundley would be the second or third QB off the board?

Either nobody knows the answer to this question or simply doesn't give a gently caress, but can Clowney play in a 3-4? And what would he be asked to do in any variation of that defense?

He could potentially gain ~15 pounds and be big enough to play a pass-rushing 3-4 DE, but he'll more likely go OLB.

Yeah I'd guess 4-3 DE or 3-4 OLB

Is Mack going to go at 4? I don't know much about him but it seems like his draft stock was more late first unless he's risen considerably since then

Nah, he's definitely top 7ish material if not top 5. He's the big fish in the pond where he went to school, but he looks a lot like Von Miller in how he plays.

You can't blame Evans too much for Manziel having a broken thumb the last two games, but he should also be docked for having MIKE and EVANS triceps tattoos.

I saw him mocked to the Niners in the late 20s in somebody semi-reputable's most recent mock, I think it was Rob Rang. So he's probably a fringe first rounder right now, but really it takes until at least the combine for a more realistic picture of this stuff to shake out. If he has a Tavon Austin-like showing in the workouts people could overlook the size just like they did then. The WR crop last year seems weaker in comparison with this group though, both at the top end and in depth.

I took him as commenting on all the dropped balls and stupid mistakes that Evans has made makes him a great fit for the Detroit Football Lions.

On that note, he's totally the guy I'd like them to take (my opinion will change 100 times over the next 3 months).

Desean Jackson type that runs the same routes over and over. Better playmaker in the open field, I think. Although it's not a bad thing that Desean gave up some of his open field game over the years in favor for running north.

Evans is slowish and doesn't create good separation with his speed. That'll hurt him as a possession WR at the next level. Luckily he's an amazing jump ball specialist. Wonder how that's gonna work out.
