This year my car is going to require some care as its coming up on the 150k KM mark. It needs a full gearbox service, new alloy radiator, new rotors and a new drivers seat. This year I will also be ignoring the fact that the paint has just turned to poo poo. Especially, where I got the bonnet repainted a few years ago. The paint on the bonnet is coming off in fingernail sized chunks.

13 INCH DICK posted:Amending mine with the clause of 'buy a Biturbo ' You're the best. For me: 1. Get the subframe cleaned, painted, and reinstalled in the Nova. 2. Acquire and install new brakes on the Nova. 3. Fix the ABS light on the Mustang. 4. Reinstall engine in Nova. 5. Reinstall (hopefully) fixed speedometer in Nova. 6. Start buying suspension parts for the Nova. 7. Get that motherfucker insured and start driving it.

Not crash my GSXR750 in a way that prevents it from being used for further track duty. Also not dump a shitload of money into it. Buy a decent beater pickup truck... and not another project car. Okay, an E46 at worst. Alright. An E30. Get laid? Also, Supermoto trackday in SoCal with http://www.socalsupermoto.com/school_sumo.html and a trackday at Thunderhill. And Chuckwalla. And Inde. if there's a goon road trip, we need to make sure we take good old fashioned routes/black tops rather than interstates. If I'm travelling I want to experience 'MURICA. (like parts of 66 that are still drivable, or even the Oregon Trail since it's geographically close to Indiana as a starting point.) I live in Seattle and have room to spare and an engine lift... Someone bring that thing over. For the most part I'm kidding as I know next to nothing about getting a broken car unfucked. There's a Yellow VW Corrado that's been rotting away around the block from my house. Tempted to go ask the guy if I can take it off of his hands for cheap and roll it down the hill. I'm assuming it doesn't run considering it hasn't moved since I moved over a year ago.

My goal this year is to get the engine in my Bricklin and have it running and driving. I bought a set of motor mounts off ebay that should be able to help with that, so hopefully it'll happen sooner than later. The doors and other restoration stuff will probably come later, but that's a good start.

This thread has inspired me: I want to see a AAA relay race. Start with a dead car at a predetermined spot on the west coast, and have people use their free tows in succession to get it as far as possible. If it makes it to the east coast, all participants get a ride in sigtrap's little british roadster.

That said, 13 isn't joking, he doesn't have a great place to work on it. Now, if he gets a place with a driveway, that's another story. Then it's time to buy this, a popup tarp driveway and get to work!
