I never minded Naevia 2, but I never understood why they seemed to purposely hire an actress so completely different in looks and demeanor than Naevia 1. Not that they had to switch actresses -- I get that -- but that they seemed to go in a direction that wouldn't remotely remind anyone of the previous Naevia in a billion years. Did Naevia 1 just not jive well with the audience or something?

So very briefly to mention something that is and isn't comic related and is and isn't Arrow related. I was reading my normal bunch of comics this week and came across this little nugget in Forever Evil: Arkham War #4. (Synopsis, with Batman gone the Loonies at Arkham take over Gotham. Currently Bane wants to conquer the city. He realizes his normal brand of terror tactics don't work since the Arkhamites only fear one dude, the Batman. So Bane decides he has to take up the mantle of Batman to strike fear into them. And he recruits new Batman villain, Talon to act as his Robin.) While Bane is running around doing his new Batman type thing, he runs into a thug who (I think) is drawn to look a lot like Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson. Is it just me, or is there definetly a resemblance?   I mean, I assume it's a little nod by the artist to Arrow, and if so I thought the Goons here would appreciate it.

Also there is actually some chemistry between Laurel and Ollie at the beginning of the show. I love this show.

I'm going to restate that I want to see Laurel work with Slade. The previews have kinda squashed that idea (Unless Slade is way more conniving than I give him credit for. And I'm sure he is.), but it would give her a reason to be on the show and the training she needs to become Black Canary after her heel-face turn. Slade is basically in the business of printing badasses now. Even if he's outsourcing the work out to the man with the skull mask. Or woman.

God why do I like this show so much? I binged through seasons 1 and 2 during a single weekend when I was sick and even though sometimes it's really goofy I just don't care. I didn't even like Green Arrow outside of his Justice League Unlimited appearances.
