It had some strange quirks, like the Khaler surface-mounted tremolo (no spring-filled back panel), and I have no idea who the manufacturer was--it said "Phantom" on it, and was apparently an Earl Slick signature model. I suppose I could google him, but I didn't know who it was at the time, and don't really care now. But it sounded brutal with its single bridge humbucker and "just a volume knob" control. The one time I took it apart out of curiosity, I discovered that it was probably made out of glued-together plywood. But oh well. Live and learn.
