Oh my GOD one of my coworkers just told me not to go to McDonald's for lunch because they are owned by a Jew, and they kidnap children from all around the world and drain their blood to put in your food. It wasn't a joke. I was like "um what?" and she showed me some crazy video on Facebook. I was like "you can't possibly believe that right?" She said "people have done research, look at these articles! at which point I just disengaged. I work for a small company so we don't really have an HR department to speak of, and I work in a lovely Texas suburb so who knows if anyone would even be upset at blood libel 2014. My coworker is pretty ignorant/not well educated so I'm tempted to chalk this up to ignorance and not knowing any Jewish people rather than outright malice but holy poo poo I thought she was normal

Today, President Obama came to North Carolina State University to give a speech. As one of the attendees, I was waiting in line when a group of people handed one of these to me. At first I thought they were connected to the event.   The strange thing about it is, some of their arguments have some merit, particularly the accusation of inconsistency with regards to Obama's security policy. But then they make themselves look like stupid by the absurd attack involving Adele and Beyonce, which is unconfirmed to my knowledge and is of insignificant cost. Also: "OH NO!
