Hey, question. (Figure most people hear know a good amount of Japanese culture and things like that) How does the general public view "Hafu's" as they were calling her. Is that like a derogatory?

There's definitely some number of racists who have a problem with them, and undoubtedly schoolyard bullying and name-calling, but I don't think Japan would be much worse than most other first-world countries. In recent years especially, there have been a number of popular half-Japanese celebrities, actors, singers, and models. The word they use is just their pronunciation of "half". It's not derogatory, more descriptive, the same as saying "half-Japanese" or "part-Irish" or whatever.

Jesus these guys are on a roll. I can't help being the snarky internet nerd but I feel like at this rate something horrible is bound to happen, like they completely burn themselves out and the last hour is never gonna be subbed or something  I already thought they did a good job last year but as people mentioned in the thread before, I guess getting a good number of translators speeds things along incredibly.

I went ahead and used that as an excuse to download the full 720p version anyway and now I'll just update the .rear end each time. Also, from reading the GnT forum thread on this I might have figured out why it's going so quick. Someone managed to rip a version with the .srt which means they're more or less translating straight from text instead of needing to replay the video a dozen times to lock down not only what was said but when it was said. That in no way diminishes their work but it makes it easier on them and probably saves them many hours which would prevent them from burning out on it so easily. I'm guessing it basically becomes a thing where they double check that the English makes sense, the time is correct, and then just worry about the typesetting colors/format. If the above is the case, and it seems likely, I'd definitely expect the full finished product in 2 more weeks tops. I'm not sure of their plans for the unseen footage but they may still do that since they didn't go nuts translating this year's game from the ground-up.

I'm loving the work. Its good enough translation to get the full point across, and I'm sure that some people with Japanese knowledge are spotting mistakes and such, its more than good enough for an uneducated plebe such as myself. That M1 dancing model was amazing too. It makes me start to feel old knowing that stuff like that is available nowadays when I consider what we had back when I was young. RE: Elite Salt. My sort of xenophobic uncle who thinks all Japanese people are weird, in his words, saw that and even he thought it was hilarious. This Batsu has had some brilliant pranks.

If you have the full video downloaded and you're just downloading the new .rear end whenever they post a new part just make sure both file names match. Doesn't matter what it is, just have them match. You might have to force the subs to turn on depending on your media player.

Hosei's Honeymoon cans getting tangled on the stairs during the tag nearly killed me, it was hilarious. The DVDs were almost tough to get through, I know if I had kids that part would've ruined me. Come on part 8.

Just noticed GodzillaRadio posted a pretty funny episode where Tanaka has a breakdown after Matsumoto calls him boring and cameras follow him around. Tanaka is a surprisingly good actor.
