Seems Account Creation has been disabled for a while. Apparently the (goon)rush was bigger than expected. So Midgard it is, gonna play either Healer or Shaman, I usually played casters or healers, but I never liked the Midgard Casters much. Today was bad but late US TZ has been pretty stable. They just got their new server equipment as well so that should help a lot once they get it running.

Origins main page mentions a brand new server. Server only as in machine to run the thing, or will there be a 2nd parallel server like Ywain and Mordred (but not mordred rules ofc.) I hope and believe it will only be a single shard.

Don't know if they currently host their forum and frontpage on the same server as the game, but separating those would be a good thing now they have the hardware to do so. Hopefully they'll re-open account creation before the second server goes live

Do we have some sort of guildroster or such? I'm not sure what i'm going to play but it will probably a dorf healer, since that is one class I never got to play last decade.

At 50 in Mid we have: Wrex (Me) - 50 Warrior Tanreall - 50 Savage Sersly - 50 Savage A couple of other goons that were doing a healer/warrior duo. Not sure what level they're up to. Hit any of us up and we'd be happy to get you in to the guild we're in. (and should be staying in, this time) Buris Kinder. Healers/shamans/runies are definitely the least played in the entire realm, as you'd expect.

I used to have a "gimmick" augmentation troll shaman swinging a big hammer in the assist train. In Midgard. Yes on paper kobolds are a better choice, but they were definately the very first target the Choo choo assist train went for, to kill the End Regen buff (and other buffs) on the whole team. Troll swinging a big hammer was definately far down the list of prime targets. I would only switch to healing mode when one of our healers was getting pummeled too much.

Server's repeatedly making GBS threads all over itself, they broke something fierce, and per the usual haven't issued a statement. They just kind of let it roll. Main zones immediately lock up after server reboots. Atleast for Mid.

Pretty much just stick to wherever you can get a full group and kill things. Frontiers is going to be the best exp, but the mobs are like 15-20? to start.

It takes me probably 10 attempts to get onto the server then I seem to get disconnected after about 15 minutes. I guess everyone else is having the same problem or is it my end?

So I just started, I haven't played before so I can see how dated this game is, but I do want to like it so does anyone have any tips to make this nicer? I had the resolution up and all the menus were super small and unreadable, so I turned the resolution down. Can you not resize the map? Or make it fullscreen? Also is there any way to enable strafing while holding the right mouse button?

Just learn to use your strafe keys. You miss melee hits if you're strafing. It's part of the combat system.

Made a shaman last night and managed to get him to 13. The server seems to freeze for about 10 seconds whenever a keep changes hands, but other than that it was pretty smooth last night.
