My first ever come-from-behind win. Granted I hosed up several times attempting to use Me First because I forgot it wasn't a priority move and I have to be faster than the opponent. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogondoubles-81471235

I pulled my copy of Black out today to try and finish it and expand my collection in preparation for Pokemon Bank & Transporter, and though it's been almost a year since I last played it, I noticed something very strange in my box storage. Even though I'm only halfway through the game, I somehow have Mewtwo and Arceus, with no recollection of ever catching them. Were they somehow uploaded automatically to my game via a promotion?

There were distributions of both of those during the period that BW was the most recent release. Mewtwo was a wi-fi ditribution and Arceus was a dream world one.

I was able to get up to 1400 in challenge cup. I truly feel like the very best, like no one ever was. Last two matches were interesting. Featuring a beastly Illumise and then the very best pokemon I've ever had in challenge cup that had no attacking moves. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/challengecup-81558488 http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/challengecup-81562045

I used a Mega Aerodactyl in the campaign, and named him Tutankhamun because of the beard. Really, any pharaonic name will do.

Does anyone mind doing a few quick trade evolutions with me? I'm won two Dubious Discs and Upgrades in that air balloon game and I want to evolve two Porygon up to Porygon-Z for legendary trade fodder. I'll even give you a four IV Porygon for yourself at the end. FC: 3067-5151-4488 IGN: Fantastico!

Back to Adaptability Crawdaunt chat, I found that having a Follow Me spamming Togekiss paired with an Assault Vest Crawdaunt knowing Knock-off/Crabhammer/Ice Beam/Sludge Bomb as your leads in Super Doubles are amazing. The Maison likes to generate Fighting types and grass types to kill Crawdaunt but with Togekiss absorbing the hits you are guaranteed at least one Knock Off that will OHKO to 2HKO most pokemon(unless they are holding Bright Powder ).

Double Protect into safeguard is also pretty strong. I am Reverend posted:http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-81424089 AV Conkeldurr forces you to make awful decisions. I'm at the point where I just lead Landorus-T against a Conkeldurr in preview and hope they go for knock off instead of ice punch. Landorus-T is one of the better checks but it's not a full counter. M-Venusaur is a decent counter to AV Conkeldurr but has teambuilding limitations.

Personally, I tend to run Rock Slide over Ice Punch when I use AV Conkeldurr. I already have dragons handled elsewhere, and it's a nice answer to a lot of would-be counters.

Ice Punch isn't strictly for dragons, and rock coverage doesn't do much because most offensive birds don't want to switch in on ice punch or knock off, and you can't stay in on Talonflame or Staraptor. Ice Punch makes sure you don't get walled by Landorus-T and Gliscor. Also the hax you get by using guts instead of sheer force sometimes lets you get a free win which is a nontrivial part of the build. Militree posted:The only Priority safeguard is Whimiscott, right? Militree posted:The only Priority safeguard is Whimiscott, right? He's not legal in VGC. Zoness posted:Meowstic-M and Klefki both get Safeguard. Klefki also gets crafty shield, which only lasts a turn, but has +4 priority when you factor in prankster. It's basically a wide guard/quick guard that blocks any non-damaging move, not just status moves. With the extra priority that means it even goes before fake out, and klefki's more likely than it's partner to be targetted by fake out since it doesn't usually run protect.

Dark Void is completely shutdown by priority safeguard/any safeguard that happens to be faster than Smeargle. However, Smeargle is basically always paired with M-Kenga who will fake out your safeguarder. The easy way to stop that is with your own fake out/double protecting turn 1. If you get Safeguard up its usually gg since people that use Dark Void are generally terrible and can't win if you aren't asleep. If you don't have safeguard its loving obnoxious dealing with it though. VVV Supposedly its considered balanced now. It loses hard to anything that runs safeguard and Smeargle is pretty useless if he can't get d void off. Personally I think its a lovely, stupid move and even if it is 'balanced' its still obnoxious to play around and makes the game less fun as a whole. If one of your Pokemon has Magic Bounce in a doubles match, and Smeargle uses Dark Void, will Dark Void still work on your other teammate or will it not affect your team at all? Also, if it does bounce off, will it affect your opponent's entire team or just Smeargle?

My IGN's Eric. Sure! I can breed you one up real quick. Here's the stats of the one I use for the Battle Maison: Adamant Adaptability Crawdaunt with Assault Vest 252 HP/252 Sp Def/4 Speed Knock-Off/Crabhammer/Ice Beam/Sludge Bomb Mine's at level 50 with 31 IVs in everything except for Sp Atk so the numerical stats are: HP(170)/Atk(154)/Def(105)/Sp Atk(~90~)/Sp Def(107)/Speed(76) The reason I use Ice Beam and Sludge Bomb (which are Special) is that it prevents the Battle Maison from sending Fairy and Dragon types against my team and helps provide coverage against grass and bug types. If your team has a good Poison/Steel/Ice member you can switch those last two out for better physical attacks.
