I, thespaceinvader, oath on Reaper Bones Hydra and one Reaper Bones Pathfinder Iconic Wizard with custom scenic base The Wizard is going to be my fantasy Reed Richards and is going to be pushing a big wall of Secret Weapon water effects away from him (in theory, and this should hopefully look like it's scoured the tiles off that area of the base)), so that's going to be my get based out entry, in the hope that it'll work reasonably well. I've tested the principle, but I have no idea how it's going to look in practice. Can I get I rolled a 6!...or a 20...or maybe an 01 for the Hydra? I've carefully beheaded it so that it can be used to track the number of heads it has in a D&D game, which should hopefully work pretty well. I might add a base that helps more, too, given that going up beyond 5 is not unheard of. Can I add the base for the hydra later on though, I still need to cut it out of the plywood with my jigsaw, and I've got to eat and leave in the next half hour D:? E: and gently caress knows still ont he Jurnal. I might just paint up one of the Wizard's many belt janglies as something modern, but I'm not sure what. ALternatively, maybe I can get fourth wall breaking for the hydra's removable heads :P

I'm planning on making some unit fillers for my Warhams- will they fit the diorama category if they're suitably dioramic?

If your mooks are telling some sort of story in a diorama-ish way from how they're set in the scene, sure, why not?

I, Slimnoid, Oath the following models: Lich Lord Terminus, Lord Exhumator Scaverous, and Slayer Helljack! (All 28mm and by Privateer Press) I'm going for the Detectuv's Jurnal (4th wall) on all three models! I'd also like to do the In Battle bonus, though I have a question regarding that: it says "Post the picture with your Oath Complete picture." Does that mean if say, I finished an Oath back in July and it features models from that oath, am I required to post those completed oaths from that month? I ask this because I found my other SD card which has photos from a game of 40k back in August featuring models I painted in July, so it seems like something I should maybe ask beforehand.

First off, here's a better picture of January's spacemen- Secondly, for February I oath to paint 2 40mm x 80mm Warhammer unit fillers (GW, 28mm). With the wonders of blu-tac, some rough WiP shots- An elf and a gnoblar arguing at what will be an impromptu barrel and plank table , with an impatient ogre mercenary in the background. An ogre who's not waiting for his payment, and an upset elf cavalryman. There is clearly a lot of cutting and assembling and modelling to do, which should hopefully count for the conversion bonus when I post pictures of the work.

OATHING: Wyrd miniatures Avatar Lilith, two freikorps models, two puppet wars models, and 8 malifaux scheme/corpse/scrap markers. Question about the diorama; if I decide to do one should I oath addition the unpainted terrain piece for it? Also would it count as one or just a fancy base if I did say, The hooded rider puppet there on a street infront of a brick wall casting a shadow that looks like its proper Malifaux model. I'd post an image of it anyway should I get that little scene built in time but was mostly wondering if just an image or an official "oath addition" picture would be required.

For February, I Haydrian oath: One Tau Cadre Fireblade, with a new, non-weeabo hairstyle and sword. (Games Workshop model) Unfortunately the first coat of spray primer fuzzed up pretty badly, and the paint thinner I used to strip it off melted the sword components apart. I had to break it down, reassemble everything with pins and superglue instead, so the final sword's gonna look a bit different. Not a problem I hope?

It's a pathetic oath, particularly in light of how kind the judges were to me last month (thanks a million!), but it's the biggest oath I know I can complete this month. I've got a lot of modeling and casting work to get done this month (and hopefully get a webstore up and running), but this is a start. I hope to add to it later. For now, I oath this 28mm Sedition Wars control console by Studio McVey (Coolminiornot). It's an objective/replacement for a counter, so I'm hoping it'll count for a "I rolled a 6". As I said, I hope to oath more in the coming weeks!
