To be fair, I had the best time of my life learning Russian and Arabic at the same time. Asbuka is beautiful, and in cursive it's even more amazing to behold. Seriously, you should all experience Russian in cursive at one point in your life. It's like a nightmare mixed with a dream. I'm Cajun, so I somewhat technically count as a dirty American. I thought the documentary explained that the Sochi real estate was valuable and getting Sochi picked as the Olympic site gave them free reign to seize as much of it as they wanted. There was only that one small ski complex in the mountains there and it seemed like Putin and his buddies had never been there; they were all going to that resort outside of Moscow that the guy who was in charge of the Olympic preparations owned.

I learned Russian in college and the cursive infected my memory of English cursive, now I can't write English cursive and when I try it just comes out in Cyrillic.
