I just reached the one X Files episode that gave me nightmares as a child.

No wonder I was scared. The creepy swarming sound and Mulder and Scully nearly dying from ancient bugs.

The episode that freaked me out as a kid was the one where weird fleshy spikes shoot out of the victims' throats.

That's a really good one too. I love Scully-centric episodes.

When I was a kid , I liked Mulder better and thought Scully was a bit of a stick in the mud. Now that I'm grown up, I like Scully a lot and think Mulder is a bit of a weirdo.

My mom is an X-Files superfan and has a mega-crush on Mulder. When the show was on TV, she'd whistle along to the theme song every week and our dog would sing along

She has action figures, still in their packaging

I think both of your selves are right! God, I remember going to an X-files convention in maybe..94? 95? Soooo geeky, but Mitch Pileggi and Nicholas Lea both had cool talks. I was so into that show.

Judging from the responses he gets when he does the latenight talk show circuit, she's got a long line to stand in.

I think it's pretty funny that she was originally cast because they wanted someone plain looking who could be taken seriously and not confused for a sex symbol. Then you look at the difference in her between the first season and the later seasons. I don't think it's the Manhattans talking when I say that she got pretty smoking hot.

That season had an episode that I really loved, but it was somewhat controversial, "How the Ghosts Stole Christmas" It's simple and kinda hokey, but sweet.

When I was a kid, probably 11 or 12, I made a TV scrapbook of my favourite TV shows. I did it because a friend of mine had one and I wanted to be cool like her. Hers was mostly covered with cut out pictures of Leonardo DiCaprio because of Titanic.

Mine contained:

Charmed
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
X Files
Friends
The Drew Carey Show
Seinfeld
Will and Grace

And probably a few others that I can't remember at the moment.

Oh, and Off Center. A show that never went anywhere, but I put it in the book because I thought Sean Maguire was really hot. He was also British, so that probably influenced my young mind quite heavily.
