I honestly wonder how much the movie Dinobots are going to resemble their toy forms. I just can't wrap my mind around a Bayverse character looking so classy:

Also, Hound cleans up real nice when you transform his arms correctly:

TBH I'm a little more disappointed with the non-movie Generations lineup. Aside from Windblade, who exceeded all expectations, I just don't see a lot of characters I care about. Here's hoping for a couple more Beast Wars updates (preferably Predacons) after the AOE maelstrom dies down.

Haha, Scorn is basically a smaller version of the first Beast Wars Megatron.

But Hasbro is killing me here. 2 voyagers and 2 deluxes I'm interested in in Wave 1 of AoE toys?! That's not even considering whatever non-movie stuff I might want around the same time.

Well looks like I'll be buying Movie toys for the first time ever, they look amazing.

Scouted around the London shops yesterday, Orbital have a bunch of overpriced Sandstorms, decently priced Doubledealers and poo poo tons of shelfwarming Goldfires, Forbidden Planet have Trailcutter/breaker, Orion Pax, Megatron and a bunch of FoC stuff. No Skids/Swerves or Cosmoses to be found :(
I'd take a trip out to Brent Cross TRU, but I can't be arsed today, too many birthday celebrations last night.

I really hope that each of those weapons is detachable. Looks like 4 pistols, 2 shotgun-type things, a knife, and whatever that thing on his back is.

I guess the noodle arms are supposed to be like ammunition belts? There's been dumber in bayformers before, and maybe they look less like noodles from other angles.

There's a chance that Siren would use the mold. I mean if Wheelie can get away with using it properly there's a bunch of other guys who could to. Besides there needs to be 4 more using of the Voyager bludgeon mold first that are mass released. because I want my 7 Samurai and that Convention Gigatron and Japanese Megatron are too pricey. :colbert:

But before any repaints, look at the new Ratchet/Ironhide they showed in the videogame trailer. It looks like their alt modes has that hover skiff that the G1 toy had. If anything needs a re-do it's those guys. And if they transformed in a way similar to the original toy but has a fully possible robot mode with a head, it would probably beat out springer and sandstorm.

This is pretty much my thinking. It's pretty much the only chain toy store in the US, and is dedicated to toys. When Walmart carried Masterpieces, getting hold of them was the exact same situation with the Skids wave right now. Some places are inundated while others never see them. TRU can at least try for better distribution.

You seem to know your stuff about distribution over here in the UK, are TRU the only chain to get Generations at all now, besides comic shops and other specialists who get the US versions? As far as I can tell, The Entertainer and the supermarkets only carry Beast Hunters, I guess because it's supported by a TV show. Maybe it will change when the new movie line is out, since I'm pretty sure Tesco carried Generations stuff when DotM was out, and especially if there will be concurrent movie/"movie generations" lines.

It definitely seems that way, yes. Asda did for a while, I definitely remember buying from there occasionally, but right now only TRU has the Generations stuff on shelves. Brent Cross TRU is particularly full of it too, easily out-numbering Beast Hunters. They had the FoC wave with Starscream, Kickback, Air Raid, etc, as well as the BB/OP Legends. Also Soundwave and Grimlock FoC voyagers, but nothing beyond that. Definitely no Springer or Blitzwang. But also bizarrely they had a single Metroplex and a very beat-up Year of the Horse MP Prime.

The trouble is, those FoC guys are just going to sit there forever, so I don't know when they'd ever get new Generations toys in. I looked in Fenwicks today, and they still have RotF and DotM toys/accessories (RPMs, yo-yos, etc) alongside PCCs and BH toys. The age old stuff is still at full price too, and has been for years. I don't know who runs these departments that thinks 5 year old toys on shelves is acceptable.

Kid's don't make it much harder to get all the goodie in toys, you just have to figure out how to keep them out of their reach and get used to saying "Stop touching Daddies toy, they are not for you children."

My big issues now is running out of space to display stuff, my TF stuff is relatively small, but my Legos are huge and Transformers are slowly but surely getting bigger and bigger and running out of shelf space. Also trying to find the disposable income to spend on both hobbies is fun, might just put my G1 Constructicons up for sell to pay for part of Grimlock.
