For real. Comparing a 70's Ford, especially the Granada, to a period Mercedes is silly. Surprisingly, the Seville and Cimarron make the grade either. The Mark VII was probably the first domestic car that even came close, but that's my opinion.

I get a little sad every time I see a Fiero for sale. Several months ago an 88' Formula Fireo popped up for sale about 20 minutes from me. 70k miles, 5-speed, paint looked great, everything looked great for what it was. $1900 OBO. My understanding is that a lot of the bus-sized RVs are in fact built on heavy duty chassis, but because they're not set up to haul bulk cargo, their actual weight going down the road is more on the scale of a UHaul, not an actual semi or bus.
