Kurator would like a word with you.

There's always the crowd favourite of calling your character some form of "secondary" or "tertiary"

"Secondary is primary, tertiary is secondary" etc etc. The whole plan falls down when everyone knows most FCs dont call out names, but the first three letters.

Just got back into EVE a couple days ago after finally upgrading my PC setup. Tried to play the game before in a couple of different corps.. one was with my buddies and we were noob central, and the other was not as fun as I had hoped. I was interested in joining dem Goons for a more satisfying experience. I'm new to SA also which probably means this will take some time?

We have a fact sheet that covers the styles and strengths of a lot of the game's FCs in it. I forget if it covers their likeliness to sort a to z. If I were commanding a fleet against one of these guys, I would tell my first five guys alphabetically to fit all tank.

Matter of fact, I'm salty now.
I want to say that the Interceptor vs Interceptor fight against N3 in 0-W was amazing.

You want to look at this full size, it's sexy

Essentially what happened in 0-W is that N3 undocked a shitload of Interceptors, and started bouncing around the system, killing random ships and blurfing about it in Local. Progodlegend even warped back to station, but when he undocked he forgot what to do and lost his 80M Malediction and pod.

After about 5-10 minutes of jerking off, the CFC Interceptor fleet finally manages to get a good warp-in on the N3 Interceptor fleet, which we do and we start having a mad top-gun style interceptor brawl. Our FC was amazing and we were vollying them off the field, I don't know how many we killed in the first wave but we had light losses, the N3 fleet took pretty sizable losses and quit the field.

After about 3 minutes of jerking each other off due to our amazingness the reshipped N3 gang arrived back for round two. We dutifully killed them again and this time caught a ton of pods, I think the final count for our kills/losses was about 60 or so N3 killed and we lose about 13. More importantly we held the field and I had to go AFK after that.

I didn't get any screenshots of the actual fight due to how fast paced it was, but it look really, really cool. I'd like to excuse my shitfit Malediction as I didn't fit it and it was given to me as-is, I actually had to scrounge up a point and web, although I didn't fit the web because I wanted to be able to grab pods.

Oh poo poo I was part of that. At least for the first part in my newbie T1 Atron tackler. It was great, loads of fun for one of my first major fleet engagements. I shot two or three ships while tackling them and then I blew up violently when I got scrambled. At least I learned how primaries work and figured out that life is a lot easier when you realize that the FC is broadcasting primaries and so you don't have to dig through your overview.... :downs:

Between travel comprising over half of the time spent on FW mission runs and greatly increased chances of getting caught by some hotshot interceptor, my math adds up to "not worth it".

The man who became known as WolfSchwarzMond was born on a farm planet. Spending his days toiling in the fields and his nights staring at the track of ships in the sky he joined the Gallente Navy at 18.

Trained as a Starfighter maintenance tech he worked for 15yrs, constantly listening to pilots complain about everything. One evening forced to stand at attention and listen to a new pilot complain about the state of a ships paint job after a 18 hour shift he decided he’d had enough of the Navy. Seizing a large wrench as a teaching aid, he explained to the officer that paint was to prevent corrosion not for looks.

Dripping another mans blood as a result of his multi-hour lecture, he stole a ship and headed out to find his fortune. After a very short, very disasterous, career as a porn director, he moved into the lucritive weapon and ships production industry.

He claims his bio is written based on his real life, and he also used to have a vanity corp. Dude's a winner.

I'M A LEAD FARMER, MOTHERFUCKER!

For all you newbie tightwads who are too cheap to spend money on "Formerly Known as a Bad Game" that we call EVE, I'm handing out starter packs for true Goonwaffe newbies in Boot Camp on the Goonfleet website. I've given out 11 of... I think 23 starter packs? I was able to spend my referral monies on as many starter packs as I could grab when they went on sale for $1 each. :smugdog:.

Usually Starter Packs are $20, and you get 30 days + a ship + some skillbooks + the really awesome Cerebral Booster that gives you really fast skill training time until your account is 14 days old. But every, oh.... ~2 months, they go on sale for $5. Green Man Gaming tends to have the best deal usually, and beyond them Amazon. Don't ever buy EVE through Steam.

Anyhow, my suggestion?
1.) Get signed up on the Goonfleet website
2.) Acquire 21 day trial
3.) Before creating character, acquire Starter Pack and redeem it (Either for free or purchase)
4.) 21 Day Trial + 30 Day Starter Pack = 51 Days Playing Time
5.) Create Character, Redeem Booster, Inject Booster -immediately-.
6.) Load up that skill queue.
7.) Join Theta and Space Violence (Theta has the largest skillbook pack).

This ensures that you'll get the most bang for your buck from the Starter Pack's Cerebral Booster, which again, doesn't expire 14 days from registration, but when your character is 14 days old. Really though, I've only experienced the game in the everloving embrace of Goonswarm. If you're going to play this game at all, it's a hell of a lot easier to play being showered in ISK by bittervets and being pointed at fights, while also having a voice chat server to discuss the Star Trek episode everyone is watching on some synchtube clone website.

P.S. I should mention I was originally sponsored into Goonswarm and now I bought a Something Awful account. What I'm trying to say is Goonswarm is contributing to the decline in posting quality of the Something Awful forums as poo poo-tier posters like myself jump from the Goonfleet forums to Something Awful. Or they're contributing to the enrichment of Lowtax. Whatever.
