Only stuff of theirs I ever listened to was the Recently Deceased CD, and this guy sounds pretty similar to Butcher. I thought I was gonna be let down, but it was pretty good. The video was cheesy as hell, though.

And yeah, the new Architects is loving awesome.

Stand out tracks to me are Spencer's and and Matt's, but they're all definitely solid.

I am absolutely in love with Mark's.

Nolly's is a bit of a letdown though. It's a bit sluggish until the breakdown section, which is mind-blowingly fantastic.

I do not like it. The riffs are sort of groovy but also have a weirdly nu-metal sort of thing to them. Also it seems that their old guitarist/clean singer left and he was one of the main reasons I liked that band. For example,,,

I for one am welcoming nu-metalcore as we've circled back around and it's now more original and interesting than an endless parade of pretentious bands that use 8-string guitars and have geometric figures on the cover of their albums.

As I'm listening to this song I immediately wanted to comment about how awful it is. However, as the song goes on I can't help but be strangely drawn to it. There are definitely parts that are really bad but overall it isn't completely terrible. My ears are so confused.

I ordered myself a copy of Converge's No Heroes that they just re-released on limited vinyl (where are my scene points?) and as usual Deathwish throws in a bunch of stickers/flyers with their orders. Saw a sticker for a band called Cult Leader and was intrigued.

Turns out its members of Gaza minus the alleged rapist singer in a new band with material coming out in April. The one track they have up is loving solid as hell.

Yeah I've been psyched for Cult Leader's debut ever since they announced their existence, although I love the vocals in Gaza.

They're keeping the same blunt attitude though. When they made the FB announcement that they were starting it just said "We used to be a band. Now we're a better one."

Well, there's more than one Architects apparently, which is why there is one that is called "Architects (UK)". But, the UK one is the one we talk about here, aka the good one.

Also, to that other guy, definitely check out Hollow Crown and Ruin. I like The Here and Now but Daybreaker was basically a return to style they were playing on those albums. For that matter, here's that new song for everyone and also some older ones for your convenience,,,

I like Nightmares more than anything they've done since. They have some good songs on all of the newer albums but Nightmares is overall the best. Haven't listened to Architects in awhile though, will have to check out the new stuff. Broken Cross is good, reminds me of Northlane.

Yeah, saw them on the second- or third-to-last show in Baltimore. It was really good, they had a cool setlist (check setlist.fm if you want to see what they're going to play) with at least two songs from every album. The crowd was really into it too

Actually, their latest album ''ex lives'' is probably my favourite album by them. Closely followed by the big dirty.
I don't like metalcore that much in general, but I really like ETID.
Maybe it's the hardcore punk, mathcore and southern metal influences.
In most metalcore bands I don't hear much influence of hardcore punk.
The genre metalcore should mean: Extreme metal mixed with hardcore punk. but that doesn't really sound like it. Crossover thrash however, does sound like thrash metal mixed with hardcore punk(D.R.I. or S.O.D. for example).

I like how ETID is simple, yet it still manages to surprise me. it's not that predictable. They can take a really simple riff, and than make them illogical .If somethings too simple, it can get predictable. If somethings too illogical, it will sound like random sounds. But ETID Strikes a nice balance in that. I also like how most of the breakdowns just sound like a slower part of the song.

Uh, Ex Lives and New Junk Aesthetic are both spectacular. "Wanderlust" is probably the best song they ever did. They're kind of a stupid band, but they're really fun and I think Keith Buckley is just a fantastic frontman.

Their debut kinda sucks. You didn't really miss anything.
I always thought ''new junk aesthetic'' was regarded as their best album by most people. Not my favourite, but I think it's the most popular one.
