I've been watching the newest Bombin' the AM, and how can someone hate the voices in Dangan Ronpa? How can you hear Mondo's interstitial dialogue and not think it's amazing? Also, are "truth bullets" really such a horrific term for someone who has been through 999 and VLR?

I dunno, Patrick playing up how weird Anime is and how he's ashamed of it because of "truth bullets" and "talking bears" was kinda cringey. There's plenty of anime bullshit that would be embarrassing to be exposed to, but laughing about "truth bullets" (which isn't even that weird in the context of videogames, where 50% of what goes on makes no sense) seems kinda like they're just going "lol, japan right? so weird." And then that discussion was followed up a conversation about what children's movie they want to watch next.

Winnie the Pooh is my favorite Anime. Edit - Stepping away from being ironic for a second, Persona 4 had a talking bear that ended up growing a human adolescent within the void inside it by doing loads of push ups. The weirdest part for me with how Patrick was reacting to a talking bear was that in the game it's made obvious that the bear is a machine the mastermind is using to talk to the captives and not an actual bear, and in VLR the main villain was a talking rabbit so I don't know why "talking animal is villain" would be so wacky for him now.

It has a couple of gratuitous anime porn scenes in it, but you can remove them with a patch.

If we wanted to get creepy about it we could discuss Chaos;head. Seriously though, Steins;Gate is the poo poo. It's both really funny and super sad, all at once, and I cried many times (I even teared up at the anime movie even though it wasn't really that great from a story perspective).
