Australian metalcore bands.... I wonder if there are more than three of them? I would have assumed Breakdown of Sanity was one, but they're actually Swiss.

I have found over time that I almost exclusively listen to Aussie Metalcore bands. Parkway Drive, I Killed The Prom Queen, Feed Her To The Sharks, Northlane, Hand of Mercy, Buried in Verona just to name a few.

I always thought ''new junk aesthetic'' was regarded as their best album by most people. Not my favourite, but I think it's the most popular one.
And yeah, they are kind of a stupid band.it´s just..fun music. It´s not really meant to be taken all that seriously.

Last Night in Town is easily their worst work. I will listen to it on very rare occasions, mainly to hear The Logic of Crocodiles. I'm a little surprised to see other in here showing them love. I distinctly remember people boo-hooing that "everything after Last Night in Town (and maybe Hot drat) is garbage" around the time they released Ex-Lives.

You think last night in town is bad? try their EP they made before it. ''The Burial Plot Bidding War'' is terrible :'(.

Like every band ever, it depends on when you got into them. Last Night in Town is the best because I was into it at the time it came out. Hot drat was the disappointment and later I just didn't care. I've always liked their personalities and behind the scenes vids, though. I do like Revival Mode a whole heck.

Australia is pretty close to being the deathcore world capital. Thy Art is Murder, most famously, but also Sensory Amusia, The Schoenberg Automaton (who share members with Ne Obliviscaris if I recall correctly!), Signal the Firing Squad, etc.

Yeah, saw them on the second- or third-to-last show in Baltimore. It was really good, they had a cool setlist (check setlist.fm if you want to see what they're going to play) with at least two songs from every album. The crowd was really into it too

Awesome. I like all of their albums so I'm excited to see what they play. Glad Kezia is still in the rotation too. I saw them on tour after they released Fortress but not since then and Volition is my favorite album of last 4-5 years so I'm pretty fired up. I donated to the kickstarter and already bought the deluxe tab book because I'm a guitar nerd.

On ETID - I like Ex Lives a lot and had it on rotation for a few weeks when it came out. The Big Dirty is good too but some songs get boring to me. We'rewolf is great. I agree that their music is kind of stupid but it's all fun. I have a hard time taking most of this music seriously anyway. I just want groovy guitar leads and a good rhythm section and I'm happy.

Tim Lambesis (of As I Lay Dying) plead guilty today for trying to hire a hitman to kill his wife. He'll be in jail for like 9 years.

Sucks because 1) Hiring a hitman to kill your wife obviosuly isn't cool, and this dude has problems and 2) I really like AILD, The Powerless Rise is a pretty sweet album.

I have loved ETID ever since Hot drat! came out during Peak Metalcore and never looked back. That first record is fairly "meh" as you guys were saying but Logic of Crocodiles is a sick cut. I saw ETID once and even at a festival show in broad daylight at 3pm they ripped it up. I hope to catch them in a small club one day. As another old man, I don't get out to shows, but I'd go see them.

How does this poo poo happen? Does some random dude working at a company just steal a pre-release copy or something then take it home and upload it? It must be so annoying for the band.

Last Night in Town will always hands down be the best ETID album. Fast and chaotic as gently caress.

Hot drat and New Junk Aesthetic are both pretty equal and tied for second place. Both really awesome albums but not as good as LNIT.

Gutter Phenomenon and Ex Lives are both good but have a few songs that I just don't care for. Third place tie.

The Big Dirty loving sucks and there are like no good songs on that album.

The ep doesn't count. It sucks.

JUST ANNOUNCED:
New York hardcore group Every Time I Die is currently recording new material at GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts with producer Kurt Ballou of Converge.

Keith Buckley, lyricist and vocalist, of Every Time I Die states:

"Kurt Ballou had always intimidated the living poo poo out of me, so I was overjoyed when the decision was made to record our next record with him at GodCity and I mean that sincerely. I've been a fan of his work for over a decade. His records are terrifying and moving and they sound like they were written and recorded under great duress, which is exactly how this style of music should be made. This month we join the pantheon. I couldn't be more excited to see what he helps us learn about our own band that we didn't realize for the past 15 years."

TL;DR: New Every Time I Die is being recorded with Kurt Ballou at the mixing desk. gently caress yes.
