This reminds me of some of Skyrim's ambient tracks, and now I'm thinking this is where the composer got the idea from.

Edit: Maybe I'm just tired, but it sounds kind of similar to this one

The first three mage guild quests in Balmorra are this...

1) Gather some mushrooms for me cause I have better things to do.

2) Gather some flowers for me cause I have better things to do.

3) Go the shop (literally next door) and get me a bowl. Just a regular rear end bowl. Oh and here's like three coins extra, don't spend it all in one place champ.

At least the boring fetch quests in Morrowind were given by characters that were aware that they are being assholes, and/or they were making you do something incredibly dull for their own entertainment.

if you already have the bowl on you, you can give it to her before you leave and return to the guild (triggering the next quest) it actually gives you enough mage's guild rep that you can raise up to conjurer (rather than evoker) from ajira's quests alone.

Ranis doesn't give a poo poo about necromancy, and the Mages' guild doesn't either. Ranis is just being a massive bitch because the woman you're sent to kill told Ranis she would rather stay out of the guild and practice healing on her own. Only the native born Dunmer and the temple actually care about necromancy (despite binding their ancestors souls to the clan forever and using their bones as tomb guardians)

My fave thing about the guild quests in Skyrim is that in every one of them there is someone who is a much better choice than you to run the guild at the end of the questline but they make you the boss anyway because gamers need to feel badass.

And the only rewards you get for becoming the guildmaster is the ability to get a companion that's just the same as every other loving companion and a lovely artifact that's outclassed by your own ability to smith things.

EDIT: Oh, and I enjoy how stupid the Thieves Guild is in Skyrim. Read this, because it does a way better job than I ever could at mocking that piece of poo poo quest line. http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=14422

I'm determined to spend most of this playthrough wandering about Tamriel Rebuilt, but man, content is a little thin on the ground when you don't split it up with trips back to Vvardenfell. Stumbling across all this little towns, weird structures/strongholds and awesome, inventive cities is great, but there's never very much in them, and half the time any guild questlines I find offer like two jobs then get cut short. Maybe I've been playing with mods for so long that Vvardenfell feels more full of content than it is, but I feel like I'm just breezing through and seeing everything there is to see of something that's taken people years to put together, which feels like a bit of a shame.

Exploring and looting caves and tombs and such is still great fun, but it just all feels a bit empty, still waiting to be filled.

This was great. I know ~*videogame plot analysis*~ can be pretty :spergin: but the TG in Skyrim is goddamn egregious on its face and this broke it down nicely. I'd played through that drat thing and remembered it was bad but I'd clearly compartmentalized just how bad.

Also this is driving me crazy but someone had posted about how to squeeze a few more frames out of running MGSO in Windows 8 and now I've lost the drat post. I'm getting like ~15 frames in most towns and they'd mentioned there's something about styles settings or something along those lines that'll maybe get a bit of a boost.
