Oh and a ham satellite had a really close call, passing only 185 meters from one of those thousands of dead Soviet satellites http://www.satnews.com/story.php?number=1217780033 that's like a couple f1 cars running a 4-way stop at 150mph and missing each other by a couple of inches

here's how i'd tune in psk31 with a web SDR if you don't have a "what you hear" input device btw: -install virtual audio cable and create at least one cable -set your windows audio default output to the audio cable -start the Repeater program that comes with VAC and start a repeater with the VAC input and your actual sound card as output -set up MultiPSK or whatever program, set it to listen to the VAC -go to the sdr page and the audio should go both to MultiPSK and your speakers stop the repeater if you want to keep monitoring but don't want to hear it. you can do PSK31 deaf after a little bit of practice this is what I do pretty much full time with SDRsharp, so I can just fire up DSD or PDW (pagers) or MultiPSK and peep the digital noize

ADC into an FPGA. thats pretty much it. I don't know a god drat thing about FPGA's though so I don't know how he's utilizing it i'm really impressed with his active antenna's performance and it is SO COOL to be able to listen to longwave broadcasts, we don't get poo poo in NA there, it's just noise.

FCC punks CB amp vendor http://www.arrl.org/news/view/fcc-cites-new-jersey-cb-shop-for-marketing-unauthorized-rf-devices quote:Last October an agent from the FCC Enforcement Bureau’s Philadelphia office browsed the website of the online retailer of CB and Amateur Radio gear. The agent “observed for sale 16 makes and models of non-certified RF power amplifiers” capable of operation on both the 11 meter Citizens Band and the 10 meter ham band. The FCC said examples of the non-certified offerings included “the Fatboy 900 Mobile Amplifier” and the “Zombie Products 500 Watt ERP Linear Amplifier.” Neither of those devices and others that the FCC alleges the retailer was marketing, may be offered for sale prior to FCC certification.
