I ran Kumhos back in the 90s and those tires were absolute dogshit in the wet. After putting a car in the ditch cause of being a cheap rear end and buying used tires, I never cheap out on rubber anymore. I really love my current Conti DWS and Winter Extremes. Going to have to figure out something new when I buy snows again. I'm assuming 17" is going to be the smallest wheel I can put on the new R, but I'm hoping maybe when I buy the car I'll be able to have them put snows on the stock 18s and then put my current 19s on the car for summers. The DWS will work in the snow, but I still prefer to have a dedicated winter tire when all the stupid people are sliding around and I need to get out of the way.

Yes it is being held on by coathangers and was about 2 inches off the ground. Wal-mart obviously.

Had this terrible issue with my taillights, trunk loosening when braking, etc. found this:

Previous owner decided to replace trunk harness while doing a sick rear fog mod. See those twisted wires? Power and grounds for everything in the decklid. All of them were literally twisted together and taped. Good job, guy.

I think wiring classes should be mandatory in high school, complete with experiments with what happens when you splice them like this.

Yeah that was pretty great. You'd think they'd make one that uses CO2 cartridges to fire it open across lanes or something.

Properties man. Gotta save some cash for mad tight mods. Can't be spending money on trivial stuff like keeping hot flammable liquids out of the passenger compartment.

I'm surprised they still have mechanical oil gauges, I thought they got phased out.

Got one in my '70 Cutlass. I make damned sure the tubing is in good shape and the fittings are tight any time I'm near it. Mechanical water temp, too, though that's a capillary tube and therefore factory sealed (and not hot coolant).

how do you even accomplish this :psyduck:

I mean, wouldn't you have to tap the oilpan and run a send and return into the cabin? How is that cheaper or easier than tapping the wiring harness or running a remote snding unit?

Well, a Scion probably doesn't have a non-dummy-light oil pressure sender stock, so tapping factory wiring is out. As for the rest, the line probably threads into the factory oil pressure switch port, and like was already mentioned it's probably cheaper than the remote sender for Reasons, so naturally it's the better one (in the owner's eyes, anyway).
